Speaker 1 (00:03):
Every morning we wake up knowing what’s at stake, freedom, honor, duty. This is more than a mission. It’s the oath we took. It’s the flag we wear on our sleeve and everything it stands for. You don’t do it for money, glory or fame, but for something deeper. It’s for our families, for our freedom, for our way of life. It’s anyone who tries to take that away from us. Good fucking luck. And even when the mission is complete, training is never over. We are constantly honing our craft and sharpening our acts. That is the warrior mindset. This isn’t just a brand to us. We’re a part of these stories because we’ve lived these stories and while we might have hung up the rifle and body armor one last time, our new mission is to outfit our nation’s heroes with the best apparel on the planet by the operator. For the operator. For those still standing on that wall, we salute you the damn few foreign, primitive tactical for those who defend.
Sevan Matossian (02:00):
Welcome guys. We’re here. It’s finally here. Friday night, John Young, JY barbell senior analyst, best in the space. Myself, Caleb holding down the square for JR Howell. We’re stoked for you guys to join us. That is a video coming out of our great benefactor for the night. Born Primitive bear handling served this country at the highest level. He started a company that makes apparel and gear for everyone and he’s also a great philanthropist. Everything on the site right now is on sale because of this show. BP Open 20 is the code and today they launched their swim collection. It launched today at noon and rumor has it, they have the best leggings and sports brass in the game. Will Branstetter bringing the technical ability to CrossFit Charlotte? There is Andy Heel right in the middle in the maroon shirt. He’s been generous enough to let us use his gym for Taylor Self versus the world WA zombie.
(03:10):
I can’t wait until this podcast finally takes off. I know, me too. We’re trying. We’re stoked. You guys are all here. This is one of a three-part series. This week will be Taylor versus Down Pepper, America’s Fittest Man and former CrossFit games champion in the kitties division and I think it’s no far, far fetch Nostradamus hypothesis that he will one day also be the CrossFit Games champion. He’s very young. He trains under Matt Torres over at Brute and he’s been committed and he is a pristine looking man and athlete. Taylor is going to have his hands full as they do the CrossFit Open 24.1. The second week will be against Jason Hopper. You guys know him very, very well. He exploded onto the scene with some dominant performances at semifinals. Been to the games a couple of times and then of course the one that’s really going to hurt your soul is when Taylor goes against the seven podcast.
(04:12):
Favorite athlete of all time. Colt Mertons In week three, this is the first time we’ve done something quite like this. I believe JR is working out some of the technical difficulties of getting his mike working. Lucky camera straps from Australia. I’m so pumped for this. My money’s on the thumb. So let’s dig in. John, yesterday you and I both picked down, there’s down Pepper right there. We’re starting to see numbers roll in. You and I have both done the workout. Caleb’s done the workout. Any now that you’ve done it, now that you’re seeing the numbers come in, are you still sticking with Down and Pepper and why?
John Young (04:58):
Yes, I’m still sticking with Down and Pepper. We have not really seen all the elite numbers are sub six 20. Would you say like all the elite guys that we’ve heard the really elite top tier?
Sevan Matossian (05:16):
Oh, we did see Jack Farlow come in with a seven. What did he get? We saw Jack 7 45. 7 45 and Jack Farlow is a legitimate games athlete. He
John Young (05:25):
Is also a bigger athlete with not the best lungs best, but Laurel Horvath got 7 0 1, so I think a couple of the athletes, I put no stock in their open scores.
Sevan Matossian (05:36):
Okay,
John Young (05:37):
If somebody comes out with a 7 45, that’s cool. Jack Farlow has better endurance than Rons law. Unkowitz for sure. And Rons law got 6 22, so I think Jack did the workout as a warmup to a real workout. That’s what I think happened. I put my money on Emma Lawson on the heat one app just of that fact because she’s probably treating it the same way.
Sevan Matossian (06:01):
Eric Weiss, this is sick. Let’s go. Taylor also always in the house, always supporting the sev on podcast ca peptides.com. Nothing happens here. Nothing moves forward. The lights, lights are kept on by the year-round support and beyond from peptides. We’re so thankful to have Sarah Cox always there, always involved checking in with me every day. Always great to my family. 12 daily doses. 1138. Please tell me you used 35 pounds. Please tell me Jay Harle, the Armenian, the workout hurts chicken. Our group 7 32 chicken, our group. That means he gave a chick score, not his score. Asymmetric air is 1355 of torture. Good job guys, man, look at all these people that have done it already. Sarah Cox. What’s up girl? Good to see you. Lynn Collects Rich Froning 6 54.
John Young (06:55):
Somebody said Gee was 9 23,
Sevan Matossian (06:59):
So give me your take on that. Does that fit in the category of the, you don’t take stock in it or is gee just
John Young (07:04):
Not, I mean 9 23 is that’s next. I might have to redo the workout just so I can beat gee and then talk mad trash about it. But 9 23 is flirting with, it’s not really flirting with anything because it’s 25%, but that’s a lot slower than 7 45 and I think 7 45 you’re dogging it.
Sevan Matossian (07:27):
I want to give a nod to Don fall. There’s reports coming in that he got a 10 0 3 don fall. 10 0 3. Good job Don. Incredible. Jeff Lovelace 10 39 for me. Well we can hear you good buddy. Sounds great.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yep, we’re switching mics. So little difficulties today but works yesterday. It doesn’t work today. It’s the joys of live events. Got Jr. We’re Mike and Jr up so we’ll be good to go in a second.
Sevan Matossian (07:54):
Hey, the camera’s perfect and John’s killing it, so don’t worry.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Love you John.
John Young (07:59):
Love you too. Will
Sevan Matossian (08:00):
Adam Ambrosius, after the workout was released, the picks have shifted 75% for dLAN to 59% for dLAN. I think what he’s talking about is, oh, that’s the heat one app. Let’s go over to the where? Right here. Heat one app and go to our picks. Scroll down, scroll up Taylor Self. Let me see. Mine still says Taylor, 29%. Lemme refresh here. Oh, Taylor self. Taylor self. 41% of the people think Taylor Self’s going to win 59% down and Pepper are the people who are picking Taylor. Is that an emotional pick, John?
John Young (08:40):
I mean the people who switch to Taylor after seeing the workout I do not think is an emotional pick. The people that picked Taylor before they knew the workout. Absolutely. It’s emotional.
Sevan Matossian (08:50):
How close do you think this is going to be
John Young (08:54):
Closer than people think. I think Taylor has an elite engine and this whole workout is just how good can you breathe and he’s top tier. If people don’t believe me, go back and watch Guap Palooza when he was there, any endurance event, he was top three of the entire field.
Sevan Matossian (09:16):
And when you say it’s all breathing, I can totally relate. I didn’t know this at the time, but now that you mention it and I flash back to me doing the workout, I was noticing that I was taking four breaths between burpees. I was literally all my movements were the cadence of my breath and I would make these little sounds and then down and then back up and then in four breaths every time I would go up and down. Do you remember how many breaths you took between each time you went up and down? One. Oh okay. Whoa. That’s why I didn’t finish.
(09:48):
And you did. That’s badass. What did you say Caleb? I said that’s why I almost got capped too. I sunny day rambler, I went balls to the wall. I got 8 0 1. Good job. Dang dude. Yeah, it’s wild. All the other times we have tried this live stream. We have not had a live audience. You can see Taylor Self in the back there. This is his home gym. Andy Hendle. He’s the actual owner of the gym. He’s on the level one team. He’s been around forever. As long as I think I’ve been around Wad zombie at least there’s no random ads. Small team. I’ll give it a second. We’ll get a few random ads in there. SEMA boobs. Taylor will sell his mom on a street corner. I think that’s a metaphor for he’s going to go hard. Noah Olson 5 51. Do we know what the fastest time, what’s the fastest time that we’re hearing that’s rumored out there?
John Young (10:44):
The fastest that I have seen, and I mean I know people have heard numbers, but they have actually seen video and it’s legit is 5 47 from Austin Hatfield.
Sevan Matossian (10:56):
Okay. I did it and I was sick but I didn’t feel sick when I was doing it. I mean I was coughing and hacking but I didn’t feel like it was slowing me down. It wasn’t impeding my breath, so I don’t know. I don’t think I can really use it as an excuse.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
Hey boys, can we do a mic check for JR real
Sevan Matossian (11:14):
Quick? Absolutely. We’d love to. We heard him for a split second and that’s it. We are three minutes and 30 seconds away from the start. You see Taylor out there in the Savage ones? No ca peptides for him. That would make it so he’s disqualified D and pepper rolling around bringing his dumbbell. These are not small dumbbells. If you have not done this yet, they’re not small dumbbells se how did Rosemary do? My mom came to the house today and she says she’s doing the foundations competition and she was telling me that the recommended weight was 15 pounds but she was thinking about using five and I was like, yeah, use five, do it, do it, do it, do it.
John Young (12:05):
I’m going to say down gets 6 0 3 and Taylor gets six point 21.
Sevan Matossian (12:12):
Okay. Okay.
John Young (12:13):
That’s my prediction.
Sevan Matossian (12:15):
6 21 and 6 0 3. To put that in perspective, I believe Ricky Mack from Australia, the guy who sits at the top of the mountain of badasses. I want to say he got a six minutes flat.
John Young (12:29):
I don’t know what Ricky score is.
Sevan Matossian (12:30):
Alright, I think it was pretty close to that. Ross Lewis, Taylor 5 56 is the guest. Wow. Breaking six. Alright guys, can you hear me? Can you hear me? We can. Thank you. Yep. There. Thank you. Vellner 6 0 1 with the long arms.
John Young (12:44):
He always is good with burpees, so there’s burpees in it. He’s awesome. I brag on somebody real quick.
Sevan Matossian (12:52):
Yeah, please.
John Young (12:54):
At my gym there’s a girl, her name’s Veronica Mota and she is six months pregnant and she did it in 1323.
Sevan Matossian (13:03):
Wow. Annie Thor’s daughter did it.
John Young (13:07):
She’s a monster.
Sevan Matossian (13:08):
Yeah, that’s crazy. Hey, did she build a little place for her stomach to go like a little hole?
John Young (13:13):
No. What she did, what she did, it’s a much harder version. She would go to her knees and then put hands on and just do lower her chest to the ground so her belly can still be in the air and then go up. She did that for every single burpee. Basically it’s a negative pushup. Every single burpee and still finished.
Sevan Matossian (13:31):
Oh my God. We are one minute and 25 seconds from starting the CrossFit Charlotte 24.1 Open, brought to you by born primitive and ca peptides.com.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
There are places in this world at the edge of the unknown protected by nature’s ruthless beauty and our own self-doubt. Places that connect us to something bigger that remind us to appreciate the bold and applaud the fearless places that remind us how similar we all are at the core explorers and dreamers, places that bind us to what we could be if we went just a little bit further. There’s more to you than imaginable hidden out there in the unknown. Go find it.
Sevan Matossian (14:44):
15 seconds. 15 seconds. I believe Andy Handel, the owner of CrossFit Charlotte will be starting the event. JR Howell?
JR Howell (14:55):
Yes
Sevan Matossian (14:55):
Sir. Who’s going to win this buddy?
JR Howell (14:59):
I’m still going to give Taylor the Edge Home field advantage
Sevan Matossian (15:03):
And what are we thinking for times?
JR Howell (15:05):
I think they’ll be within 10 seconds.
Sevan Matossian (15:07):
Alright, anything we need to know? Have they worked out earlier today?
JR Howell (15:12):
No, they’ve really done nothing but lay around and rest, so I think they’ve saved everything they’ve got for this workout only and it should be a good show.
Sevan Matossian (15:21):
And how’s the mood?
JR Howell (15:23):
The mood’s great. We’ve got a ten second countdown coming up right here.
Sevan Matossian (15:31):
Down Pepper in the black shirt. America’s fittest man, Taylor Self co-host of Shut up and scribble on the Seon podcast. Owner of Sentinel Training. Big training program.
JR Howell (15:44):
Alright guys, here we go.
Speaker 6 (15:45):
5, 5, 3, 2, 1, go.
JR Howell (15:55):
So guys, as we watch them, we’re going to see a difference in cycle rate with the dumbbell early on, but as the workout take shape it’ll be good to note how much slower they slow down on this speed on the round of 15 to nine
John Young (16:09):
I noticed down is much wider but Taylor’s slightly faster.
Sevan Matossian (16:20):
Both heads of the dumbbell have to touch the ground for the rep to count. Do they both have judges Jr
JR Howell (16:25):
Both have judges? Yep.
John Young (16:27):
Dude, they’re going out so hot
Sevan Matossian (16:31):
They’re not using the step up technique.
John Young (16:33):
No. So Down’s coming out way hotter than Taylor is. Taylor looks a little bit more controlled. It’s fast. He’s breathing through. He’s a speed worker. He used to team.
JR Howell (16:45):
Yeah, we talked about this yesterday guys. There’s two approaches. You either think you can pace it perfectly where you can build your speed as the workout goes or you just come out hot and pray you can hang on
Sevan Matossian (16:58):
But looks very efficient. He barely even coming hands are barely coming off the
John Young (17:02):
Grounds. He’s the head of Chandler Smith’s time right now. Dallas.
Sevan Matossian (17:06):
Wow. Taylor, John Taylor telling us, we can barely hear it over the sound of the crowd, but he’s faster than Chandler Smith’s pace at this time.
Taylor Self (17:16):
Good lord. His draft,
Sevan Matossian (17:23):
What would you call this technique? Is this even a snatch? I mean what they’re doing?
JR Howell (17:31):
Yeah, we just call it a light muscle snatch.
Taylor Self (17:35):
You think D’S legs being wider than Taylor’s is helping him in any way or others not They just at the same time.
John Young (17:42):
Not right now. It’s not
Sevan Matossian (17:45):
Crazy efficient on the burpee. Basically down as they jump over, especially down just slowly. Right
John Young (17:53):
Now the only difference is Down’s burping a little bit faster and it’s not a lot, it’s just a little bit.
Taylor Self (18:01):
Oh man.
Sevan Matossian (18:02):
If you want to comment in the chat, you do need to be a subscriber. We turn that on for this show.
Taylor Self (18:14):
They’re ending. The round of 20 ones are here, right?
John Young (18:18):
Yeah, somebody’s going to blow up.
Taylor Self (18:20):
There we go. There we go. We’re in the meeting now
John Young (18:23):
They’re eight seconds faster than Chandler’s time.
Sevan Matossian (18:27):
Wow. Chandler got a sub
John Young (18:29):
6 5 49.
Sevan Matossian (18:31):
How big’s the crowd Jr
JR Howell (18:35):
The crowd’s awesome. I’d say there’s about a hundred people in here
Sevan Matossian (18:37):
Down. Does look like he’s slowing down just the hair.
Taylor Self (18:42):
Yeah, that extension of the pop Now
Sevan Matossian (18:48):
Where are they right now? Is this the last round of fifteens?
Taylor Self (18:51):
First round round.
JR Howell (18:52):
First round of 15.
John Young (18:58):
Dude, they are
JR Howell (19:02):
Both still really fast off the ground too.
Sevan Matossian (19:05):
Jr how big are these guys? They look huge. How tall are these cats?
JR Howell (19:09):
I’d say they’re both five 10.
Taylor Self (19:13):
Alan seems like he’s got a lot more meat on him than Taylor though.
JR Howell (19:16):
Yeah, I’d say.
John Young (19:18):
Oh wow. Taylor’s in the lead.
Sevan Matossian (19:21):
Taylor’s got a two rep lead is what it looks like.
Taylor Self (19:24):
You have big breath with the upper smash do.
John Young (19:27):
They’re currently nine seconds ahead of Chandler’s pace
Taylor Self (19:31):
And this is the back half of the fifteens, right? Yeah,
John Young (19:34):
Which would be the fastest time we’ve ever, we have seen so far.
JR Howell (19:37):
These 15 burpees are going to decide right here. These 15.
John Young (19:41):
We’re good. Taylor, snap.
Taylor Self (19:44):
Dang. Come on. Come on
John Young (19:46):
Dude. He’s a head out by a good
Taylor Self (19:49):
Fit. Let’s go.
Sevan Matossian (19:50):
Four reps. Three reps.
Taylor Self (19:54):
Like three and a half.
Sevan Matossian (19:57):
What is that? About six seconds
John Young (19:59):
And he’s not slowing down and he’s only at the nines Left
Sevan Matossian (20:04):
Ryan stamp since five 14.
John Young (20:07):
No, it’s on pace for like 5 38 right now.
Taylor Self (20:14):
Can’t stop now you got to go. Here we go. Yes. Yes.
John Young (20:21):
3, 4, 5. Five. Oh my gosh, Taylor.
Taylor Self (20:33):
There it is.
Sevan Matossian (20:35):
Wow. Wow.
Taylor Self (20:36):
This is insane.
Sevan Matossian (20:42):
He took 20 seconds off his time with those savage ones.
John Young (20:46):
Dude, he’s seconds ahead of Chandler’s time
Speaker 6 (20:54):
Here.
John Young (20:55):
It’s last nine. He can get sub five 30.
Sevan Matossian (20:58):
This will be world record
John Young (21:00):
If he sprints the fire out of these nine. Yeah.
Sevan Matossian (21:05):
What a beast. Good job Taylor.
John Young (21:07):
Nah, it’s not going to be five 30
Sevan Matossian (21:10):
Down. Took a second to pick up the barbell on. Go,
Speaker 6 (21:12):
Go. Come on, go, go, go.
Sevan Matossian (21:17):
What’s the fastest time in the world?
John Young (21:18):
5 47. I think he’s got it easy. Yeah. Sub five 40 right here.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
Come on
Sevan Matossian (21:30):
Taylor. Self versus the world making a statement.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
Holy wow. Wow.
Sevan Matossian (21:38):
Oh my God.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
Unreal.
Sevan Matossian (21:43):
Bring it home down. Bring it home. Baby down’s. Still going to get a sub six. Let’s get a sub six from down.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
Nice,
Sevan Matossian (21:51):
Nice.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
Crazy
Sevan Matossian (21:56):
Wild. Incredible wild hear world sign. Sign up for the sentinel training ladies and gentlemen, Taylor Self.
John Young (22:03):
That might be the best time in the world, period.
Speaker 6 (22:07):
Oh wow.
Sevan Matossian (22:10):
Absolutely savage. No pun intended crazy.
John Young (22:14):
I don’t think Dalan knew what he signed up for.
Sevan Matossian (22:17):
The boys are hurting Jr what’s your take, buddy?
JR Howell (22:21):
My take is that was really, really impressive from both of ’em. I was really impressed with the lack of deterioration and speed. We saw the snatches slow down a little bit from down. I think Taylor’s burpees slowed a little in the end, but at that point I think he knew he kind of had it locked up.
Sevan Matossian (22:38):
Is Taylor’s mindset just on a whole different level? I know you guys are always telling me that I don’t really understand how savage he is, but I guess I’m starting to get my head wrapped around a little bit. The guy really does just know how to sell his soul, huh?
JR Howell (22:49):
No, I think he’s just one of the few people that are capable of pushing their bodies to the absolute limit and just really has no regard for what happens.
Sevan Matossian (22:59):
Barry Cocker, Taylor self number one in the world, live on the seven on podcast with the born primitive peptides. CrossFit open at Charlotte CrossFit. Andy Handel’s gym. Andy, thanks for letting us use the gym. What a great evening. This is turned into a lucky camera straps. Yes. Motherfucking thumb. Awesome. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Hey, we got a special guest. Let’s bring him in for a few minutes here. Bear hanlin. Caleb, can we Oh, good job Caleb Bear. What’s up dude?
Speaker 8 (23:27):
What’s going on? Can you hear me?
Sevan Matossian (23:28):
Yeah. Yeah. Oops, we lost you. Hold on. Oh yeah, there you are. There you are. You got it. Did you see that?
Speaker 8 (23:34):
Yeah, that was sweet. Man. Falls in the walls. That’s the number one score, huh? Under five 40
Sevan Matossian (23:41):
In the world.
John Young (23:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (23:43):
That’s insane. That thing would take me 10 minutes
Sevan Matossian (23:46):
In the born primitive shirt and the Savage ones. Hey dude. Hey, thank you for everything you’ve done with your life. Thanks for making it so we have a free country to live in. Thanks for serving the country at the highest level. Thanks for now. Making clothes that we love. That put us good. And thanks for the podcast. I appreciate all that about you.
Speaker 8 (24:04):
Hell yeah. Well thanks for including us man. I saw you played the trailer at the very beginning it looks like in the comments people were digging what they saw, so we’re all about it, man. You know how we roll.
Sevan Matossian (24:13):
Yeah. And that was a great opening that got the crowd fired up. I’m seeing that the Savage ones, did they, are those selling out?
Speaker 8 (24:23):
Yeah, unfortunately. Obviously we had this planned, but we’ve been blowing through inventory, which it’s a good problem to have. So we are pretty low in stock, but people can sign up for restock notifications on the product page and I think next month we got a big restock coming, so, but we still have some, we’re not totally picked over. It stays a little bit.
Sevan Matossian (24:41):
And you launched your swim line today?
Speaker 8 (24:43):
Yeah, swim launch today. We do that every spring, so our spring’s coming, but yep.
Sevan Matossian (24:48):
And why did you guys launch a swim line?
Speaker 8 (24:50):
We’ve been doing that for the last four years. It’s mainly focused for the ladies, just a bunch of bikinis and suits like that. And then for the fellas, there’s a couple board shorts, but it’s always been a big successful launch for us, so we got to do it.
Sevan Matossian (25:03):
And you were a seal?
Speaker 8 (25:05):
I was.
Sevan Matossian (25:06):
And I guess a lot of people think you guys spend a lot of time in the water.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
Yes, that’s accurate.
Sevan Matossian (25:12):
Okay, so swimming’s not foreign to you?
Speaker 8 (25:15):
No, no. We don’t like to do it, but we have to do it.
Sevan Matossian (25:19):
Are you going to tackle this thing?
Speaker 8 (25:21):
Yeah, I think I’m going to do it tomorrow morning at the gym and this won’t be my best workout, but I mean it’s only 50 pounds, but those burpees are going to be terrible.
Sevan Matossian (25:30):
Yeah, you should just implement Taylor’s
Speaker 8 (25:31):
Strategy. I think that’s what you should do. Yeah, yeah, just get a five 40. Just do it.
Sevan Matossian (25:36):
Yeah, just put your foot down on the gas pedal. Lemme check some of these. See my boobs. Roxanne doesn’t have to turn on the lights tonight. That’s a sting. A sting reference a little over my head. Turn that into a sentinel ad. Good point. Good point. Ross Lewis. Thanks Savon team. Thank you to born primitive too fucking good. Yeah, I’m pretty stoked. Connor Swanson. I love the American Dollar. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Well dude, I really appreciate your support. Thanks for coming on. I’d love to have you on every week now that you’ve seen. I think that’s the first time you’ve seen Taylor. Get at it,
Speaker 8 (26:18):
Dude. Yeah, it was. That was really impressive and I can’t imagine he’s going to be probably, it’s like one of those workouts where you feel like you can feel taste metal in your throat. That’s going to be him for the next day. I think after he sent it on that one.
Sevan Matossian (26:31):
And when you and I were talking on the phone, I go, Hey, Taylor’s going to represent Born’s primitive. And we pulled up his IG and we were laughing. He just had 8,000. I’m like, Hey followers or whatever he is got. But I told you he wouldn’t disappoint. I hope you’re proud of him. Hell yeah.
JR Howell (26:45):
It’s the mustache man. Gives him extra power.
Sevan Matossian (26:48):
Awesome. Alright dude, thank you so much. Thanks
JR Howell (26:51):
For having me
Sevan Matossian (26:52):
Guys. And we’ll see you next week. Thank you. Tell Claire thank you also. Cheers. Will do. Cheers buddy. Bear Hanlin, CEO and founder of Born Primitive. The boys are rested. Let’s give them one more minute here to rest. We will be back in 49 seconds.
Speaker 9 (27:35):
The heat down from,
Sevan Matossian (28:00):
Well, they sure do make a great commercial. Connor Swanson. It’s the five 11 time on the leaderboard. Is the five 11 time on the leaderboard reel? That would be an answer. No. JR Howell’s used his lips to say no. That’s a special skill. Not everyone has that skill. Can say no just with their lips. Let me get, there was one more down here. Jonathan Ortega Bear. Thank you for this. We truly appreciate it. That’s for sure. JR Howell. Oh, where’s Will Branstetter? Little cameo will. What’s up baby? We’re killing Jr. You were there. Was it tense?
JR Howell (28:36):
Yeah, I mean, I would say for the last 30 minutes it’s been very
Sevan Matossian (28:40):
Intense. Can we turn you up a little bit, Jr we could barely hear you.
Speaker 9 (28:44):
Try
JR Howell (28:44):
That. We good now?
Sevan Matossian (28:46):
Louder. Louder.
Speaker 9 (28:49):
Try again.
JR Howell (28:50):
Yeah. I would say from the time they started warming up and really, really getting focused, it was very intense. A lot of pacing back and forth weren’t really speaking to each other, just exactly what you would expect. It was time to work about eight o’clock until now.
Sevan Matossian (29:04):
Could you feel it yourself, being that your buddies with Taylor, were you feeling stressed out for him?
JR Howell (29:09):
No, not at all. I was kind of messing with him all day today knowing that he was pretty anxious and he sat down and was super laid back and Will said he was really chill. And I think that was making Taylor even more anxious.
Sevan Matossian (29:21):
What are the official times?
JR Howell (29:25):
5 38. 5 58. I have to grab one of the judges and ask him. 5 38.
Sevan Matossian (29:30):
Okay, so almost inverse, Jason’s oper in the house. Almost inverse what John was thinking. John was thinking that there would be 20% separation, 22nd separation, but that it would be dLAN, which is a safe guess being that he’s the fittest man in America.
JR Howell (29:50):
Yeah, no doubt. And I mean when this workout came out, I told Taylor and dLAN, I couldn’t think of a better workout for them to do together because it’s very simple. They.
