Taylor Self (00:00):
And keeping it real. The ultimate escalator, Dees escalator. He was really trying to deescalate my emotions the other day. Thank you. Keeping it real. All of your messages were in my request though because I think my Instagram thinks that you’re a sex bot or something. You know those bots that message people and are just crazy pictures of anime boobs and it’s just like, hi, you want a picture of pussy? That’s what you get. I think my algorithm thinks that keeping it real is that, but you’re a great guy. Alright, so here’s what we’re going over today. Rogue Invitational predictions. They have some stuff out. Bill Henneger has dropped some hints, but to start we’ve got a new sponsor, new sponsor, Brandon Le. Le Brandon Le Cook with Ridgeline Group Realty founder of Ridgeline Group Realty. He actually runs a business where he can connect you with a realtor, a good guy, realtor or gal anywhere in the country. Former Army Ranger. Good dude. CrossFitter one of us. So if you guys are looking for buying a house, looking into buying a house like I am, he helped me out. Helping ish me out, hit him up. Great guy. Also Brooks Manley, sorry, this is proven business plans. Corey Polito, they’ve sent me in Jr. Both basic ways to make our business make millions and billions of dollars and we’re just working through the steps there and we’re on our way. Just want to give a quick shout out to Brooks Manley. This is his actually personal page.
JR Howell (01:48):
Yeah dude, it shows family on here.
Taylor Self (01:50):
Search engine optimization. I don’t know if that’s him actually. I was looking for him and this is what I came up with. Great guy. He will square away your SEO then homegrown relief, old and faithful Carl. Carl, what’s your last name? Got to know this. I, for whatever reason, I don’t know his last name. Kaplan, I believe. Great guy. A hundred percent natural high performance products for people and pets. Actually Bryson’s been given the CBD stuff to Opie, Mari’s, little Peton, the little French dog. The butterfly dog with little puffy ears because sometimes he just eats other dogs shit. So I think what they do is they give him CBD and that calms him down a little bit so he’s not rolling. He’ll pick up a piece of Eddie’s poop and he’ll bat it around with his hands. And I was working at Bryson’s house the other day and he has this little tennis ball. It’s the size of a golf ball and I would imagine he does this with Eddie’s poop as well, but he took this tennis ball with both hands and threw it at me. So I think he does that with the other dog’s poop sometimes. So they give him the HG RCBD and it chills him out.
JR Howell (02:58):
Full disclaimer. H-D-R-C-B-D is not tested on animals. If that’s where anyone was going with that diatribe that Taylor just went on.
Taylor Self (03:05):
Unless you’re calling me and JR. Or Animals State Farm, Patrick Mitrovich. So we’re just giving everybody some love. Oh, and lastly this is the, I’ve got one more basic review with Pat Barber.
JR Howell (03:23):
You actually, and then someone comes and sees you
Taylor Self (03:25):
Or go somewhere. No, they don’t come to me. I’m going to go to them. I think you can pay a little extra for them to come to you and you can do the evaluation for the level four your affiliate. But I want to go somewhere else because I’ll be sharper that way, but I’m
JR Howell (03:36):
Just worried. I was going to say it’s definitely not the money. You got long money as they said.
Taylor Self (03:40):
I did not have long money buddy. I wish I had long money. I wish I had a long something else too, but money ain’t it either, but hey, we’re getting there. The goal is to get the level four. All of the evaluations are sold out. I’ve got one more evaluation with Pat. He’s awesome. I would say that’s probably the biggest thing people miss in coaching now is having someone whose job it is to make other coaches better watch them coach. Not a lot of people get that vastly underrated. So stoked to be working with them helping me out. If you guys are a coaching, you’re looking to get your level three, level four or level two even, or just become a better coach to elevate.
JR Howell (04:17):
That’s a nice teaser. That’s a nice teaser. It’s a nice segue into the primary debate topic for this show and it’s going to be, how important is coaching at CrossFit affiliate?
Taylor Self (04:29):
I thought the debate was programming.
JR Howell (04:31):
I think it’s going to turn into coaching. I think it’s going to turn into a coaching debate.
Taylor Self (04:37):
Well it is an interesting debate. I don’t think that you can predict where I’ll go with it even. But let’s start with the Rogue Invitational. So actually I want to go to that. What is that competition called? I’m going to have to go to my messages and find it. There’s this competition in Puerto Rico. I started a little French and then I went kind of Spanish. That was crazy. I can’t search here. I got to find Mason Mitchell’s dms. He’s sending me these workouts. Have
JR Howell (05:12):
You ever been to Puerto Rico?
Taylor Self (05:13):
Yes. Once. Okay, here we go. Yeah, I’ve been to a wedding there. I went to old San Juan and oh, I was in San Juan but not old San. I don’t think I went to old San Juan. My mom and sister did. I was probably fucking, it was cool for a wedding. Crazy shit. Getting high AF or something. Okay, Beatle Beetle extravaganza, beetle extravaganza CrossFit license event, CrossFit event in Paradise. November 8, 9, 10, 20, 24. cio Marcelo Trujillo. I say that correctly bro.
JR Howell (05:51):
Fuck
Taylor Self (05:51):
You dude.
JR Howell (05:52):
How do you say it then? The only E sound in Spanish is an I. So it’s not C. There you go. There’s the first
Taylor Self (06:02):
Fucking what happened, dude,
JR Howell (06:05):
Nch a bag of dicks. I was so close on that dude, you said it really fast and with confidence. That’s the most important thing.
Taylor Self (06:10):
Alright, cool. So we’re good there. Alright, so
JR Howell (06:13):
You said this is 10 K for the winner?
Taylor Self (06:16):
Yeah, first place is 10 K. I know. Let’s look at workout one. Wow, crazy to read this. Let’s just read the little, this area over here. You’re
JR Howell (06:26):
Not a fan of that fun. No, no, no, no, no, no. Go ahead. Expound upon this. This is something you’re really passionate about is being able, when you pull up a graphic, being able to read it easily.
Taylor Self (06:35):
Yeah, there’s so much going on in this right here that it’s like crazy. I am just not sure even where to begin. Workout one for max calories row in 12 minute window, four rounds. Okay, so it’s a 12 minute am wrap. The buy-in is four rounds, eight sandbag cleans, 12 STR hand sample pushups. This is with a 200 for guys, a one 50 for ladies. So 32 cleans with the fat bag. 48 shook hand stand pushups, something crazy there.
JR Howell (07:03):
Geez, that’s all
Taylor Self (07:04):
Cleans my goodness. Yeah, all cleans. And then Max Kelly going the remaining time. That’s crazy. So okay, that’s a So
JR Howell (07:11):
Let’s, I mean, so let’s say, yeah, so you’re looking at
Taylor Self (07:15):
Eight cleans five, I’m giving you five cleans, probably six cleans a minute here.
JR Howell (07:22):
I was just going to say for a good athlete they’re going to be on the rower for four minutes at least, and they’re really, really good athlete.
Taylor Self (07:30):
5, 6, 7, 8.
JR Howell (07:31):
The really good athletes are going to be on the rower for like five to six.
Taylor Self (07:34):
Yeah, yeah, maybe six A. Okay. Workout too. Four time, 13 minute time cap five rounds, six shuttle runs, 10 GH hds, six alternating devil presses with a oh, a 95 pound dumbbell. Yeah. 70 and 50 for rx. No, it’s a 90, right? Right. Yeah. 95 and 70 for elite. Sheesh. That’s 30 of those. Damn dude. The first two events are basically 30 low back fuckers in the butt.
JR Howell (08:12):
Have you ever done sting alarm, devil press with anything over a 70 Intraining? No. Is it crazy? I’ve never tried. No. What I was wondering though is does it make people do that almost that hang technique where they almost deadlift it and let it go behind them for a second?
Taylor Self (08:27):
Pull it into
JR Howell (08:28):
The, get a little bit of momentum.
Taylor Self (08:31):
Yeah, you pull it back and then extend the hips,
JR Howell (08:33):
Right?
Taylor Self (08:34):
I would imagine so.
JR Howell (08:36):
But yeah, you’re right. That’s a lot of low back first two.
Taylor Self (08:38):
Yeah, I like it though. But it just seems like the shuttle run the GHD are so irrelevant. Same thing in the first workout. It seems like the strict handstand pushup are so relevant. It’s all sandbag cleans just like this. Looks like it’s all devil’s press then workout three, 200 meter run. Sorry for time. 200 meter run, seven power clean, 2 0 5, 1 45, 200 meter run, seven legless, 200 meter run, seven squat clean, 2 45, 2 45, 180 5.
JR Howell (09:08):
It’s beefy. The whole thing’s beefy so far. 200 pound bag.
Taylor Self (09:13):
But also, yeah, it’s very beefy. But also in each of these workouts it seems that there’s one thing that matters 10 times more than anything else. And I would agree for this workout too, it’s all legless. It’s the legless. Yeah. So legless very, and they’re all like a 10 minute cap, 12 minute window, 30 minute window. And it just all seems to be like there’s this one linchpin exercise. So sandbag, leans, legless, rope climbs and alternating devil’s presses. And if you’re bad at one of the other things, right, that’s going to hurt you. But it just seems like that’s crazy for 10 K if you guys are interested, head on down bro. Look, this guy wants to come chill with you. This guy wants to say what’s up in Puerto Rico, his little muscle. Mommy wants to say what’s up in Puerto Rico. Have a little fun in the pr. Wow. It’s pronounced the sponsors ve or is that just resilient? Active. Hey I got you to laugh dude. There’s that pixel grips crazy. I wonder how many events.
JR Howell (10:24):
So just those three are out so far?
Taylor Self (10:26):
Yeah, just those three are out. I does it have a schedule? Oh shit dude, that’s crazy. Element, element. Mouth to dextrin actually sponsoring their event.
JR Howell (10:41):
Hey, you know the packets if you get variety,
Taylor Self (10:43):
Dude, they taste fucking good.
JR Howell (10:46):
I like ’em if you get a variety pack of them. Becca has a subscription. If you get a variety pack, you know the one that’s just salt, it’s not flavored.
Taylor Self (10:55):
Do you
JR Howell (10:55):
Think there’s any way that has anything in it other than just salt?
Taylor Self (10:59):
Yeah, of course there’s a way where there’s a will. There’s a way brother.
JR Howell (11:02):
But I’m saying if there are no other flavors involved, do you think the chances of that one having mild direction or high? I don’t think so. But just the salt.
Taylor Self (11:12):
Yeah, I think it still probably has malted dextrin. They put that shit in everything dude. They just sneak it in there. Oh yeah. M and element T stands for malted. Dextrin. Again, I will just reiterate. I love element. Maybe they just shouldn’t, should have been more honest. Alright,
JR Howell (11:32):
So yeah guys, we were hoping we would have a lot of information. I was actually talking to dLAN yesterday and he was saying that he went back and looked and he thought that all the workouts came out on the Monday of the competition last year. So the fact that there aren’t any full workouts out yet is kind of par for the course. So I think we just get excited about ’em and we want to have ’em at least a week out so we can talk about ’em. But the only thing we have is that there’s a lateral peg board and there are nine events credit to barbell spin and he also put up on his Instagram, I think a link to the schedule so we could hypothesize lengths of workouts. And other than that Bill put out a little west side
Taylor Self (12:20):
Barbell. Yeah, them talking about the ring pushup. Ring
JR Howell (12:24):
Pushup,
Taylor Self (12:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Move into a specific exercise we do to build the treatments about a muscle mass as well as strength. It is pushups much the same way a male.
Taylor Self (12:35):
And that’s actually exactly what the Bosu ball is for
Speaker 3 (12:38):
The Yuri champion gymnast of the
Taylor Self (12:41):
Just sitting on that thing and bouncing
Speaker 3 (12:45):
This information and we’ve been trying it with some tremendous success.
Taylor Self (12:48):
Tremendous success.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
The pushups on the rings. Alright, now George is going to demonstrate some of these pushups. Notice these rings move off
Taylor Self (12:59):
Chain and metal rings. I don’t think that’s what gymnasts use Louis
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Strength by just holding yourself in there. Normally George will use a weight 120, 150 pounds of the back for three sets of 10 or 12 reps after he warms up. Now first he’s going to do it with his feet on the floor with that angle. It works a lot of the lower pack and Dels in a certain way.
Taylor Self (13:19):
You’ve never done a
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Five by five deadlift. You’ve never strength trained press training. Strength training. What’s the action of the rains? Good strength. The last, this will make you armored plated folks.
Taylor Self (13:35):
Watch this. Just listen. Listen. This will make you played armored folks. Tremendous strength. Tremendous. Fuck that guy’s. Cool. So we’ve got that. Where were we? We were just at Rogue Invitational. All right, so you predict ring pushup because that’s what Bill Henneger sharing. We also have. Yeah, maybe. Sure. Maybe. What else do you predict?
JR Howell (14:06):
How do you think they would standardize that if they do a ring pushup, how do you think they would do it? Because if they use a 24 inch box and they set the bottom of the rings right at 24 inches and they move the box back and you put your feet on the box so that your feet are at the same level, to me that is just really, really, really easy. And what would make it harder is what the guy’s about to do where he puts his feet up on the bench and so now he’s doing a decline pushup. But how would you do that and judge break of the torso not maintaining a rigid body line. Do you think there’s a way that they could do it?
Taylor Self (14:47):
Well, they did pushups in Murph, so yes, they could do pushups. They could definitely, if I were them, I would just standardize the height of the rings. I wouldn’t try to make the athletes put their feet on anything.
JR Howell (14:56):
So you think it’s just lower ’em like two inches off the ground to where
Taylor Self (14:59):
Their knuckles don’t touch and they just go Yeah, just and make it a high enough volume to where they’re very challenging, not like okay, deficit. To
JR Howell (15:06):
Me that’s a ruck movement. I think if they do ring pushups it’s going to be with aup.
Taylor Self (15:11):
Yeah, that would be cool. I don’t think they will bring back the log bar. They’ve done it two years in a row. I don’t think they’re going to do it for a third year in a row. What I do think though, speaking of the lateral peg board is I believe they’re going to do a redux of Big Cat because they never got to do it the way they wanted to do it, which was peg boards and box jumps. So I believe they’re going to do that with a lateral peg board.
JR Howell (15:33):
So you think they’re going to do high box jump over again?
Taylor Self (15:35):
I think it’s going to be high box, jump over lateral peg, board hill, run lateral peg board high box, jump over in some format I think would be cool as fuck.
JR Howell (15:42):
So you think they’re building a hill there?
Taylor Self (15:44):
Or even a log A get over Maybe. Maybe not even a box. Something like that. What do you mean Renee? An accessory program accessory for, I have a strict bullet program and I’m actually about to release, maybe it’s like a 200 conditioning workout PDF where it’s just 200 machine conditioning workouts that’s going to be fucking sick. More expensive than the strict pullup program, which is only 25 bucks to begin with. But
JR Howell (16:15):
So I think that I’ve been thinking a lot about the venue and the history behind Scotland and how we know there’s going to be strongman influence. Will you Google Highland games events?
Taylor Self (16:29):
Oh, this is going to be crazy. I’m going to do this not off the screen. So if we get any boobs or wieners or stuff like that, this is jr’s fault. Highland Games events.
JR Howell (16:40):
So you got to think that they’re going to think that they’re going to use something from the Highland Games. It’s just a good tip of the hat to where they’re doing it. I know what they’re
Taylor Self (16:51):
Going to do. They’re going to wear these fucking little caps. They’re going to get the athlete and shit like this. You know how they made ’em wear the belt buckles and the cowboy boots. This is what they’re going to make kilt. I think they’ll give him a
JR Howell (17:02):
Kilt for sure.
Taylor Self (17:04):
They’re definitely tossing the cer. We’re going to be tossing the cer.
JR Howell (17:08):
I don’t think they’re going to toss the cer because I think this is too technical, but I could see them doing this movement, but like a pig flip. So it’ll be a shorter log. Yeah, that’s an event. So you hit it on the big end and then it flips on the light end. But just imagine 10 foot one of these and you just flip it down the field like a flip
Taylor Self (17:34):
Sled, a log flip.
JR Howell (17:35):
I could see them doing
Taylor Self (17:36):
Something. Fuck, that would be sick.
JR Howell (17:38):
I think that would be cool.
Taylor Self (17:39):
Flipping the C?
JR Howell (17:41):
Yeah,
Taylor Self (17:42):
We’re going to toss the C I’m going to put, I also think they’re going to throw something. You’re going to throw something might have sit on the C. You cannot help yourself. Yourself. I think they’re going to take one of those little baggy bags with the handles on it and throw it over a thing. They’re actually just going to copy the sandbag Clean Jerk from Kill Taylor. You guys are welcome for that.
JR Howell (18:08):
No, I could see them using one of the rogue throw bags. I think in the Highland games you have to do that with one hand. So it would be like a single arm kettlebell swing action like that right there.
Taylor Self (18:21):
What is this dude? I hope they do a fucking, I
JR Howell (18:24):
Think that’s what I’m talking about. Where they do that with one hand where it’s like a one arm kettleball swing and they’re throwing it over. Yeah, I think that’d be
Taylor Self (18:32):
Cool. Oh, that shit almost hit that guy in the fucking see how close that was to hitting him timeout. He said, oh, I better get out of the way there.
JR Howell (18:41):
Yeah. Do you think elimination style tug of war would be cool or not cool because they’ve done that for teams before.
Taylor Self (18:47):
Look at the backdrop. Dude. Imagine just standing in a line with your swords and getting fucking mowed down by arrows from that castle. That’s what they should do. They should put them in fucking armor and just shoot ’em with some sort of non-lethal thing and whoever can take the most hits without fucking quitting gets a hundred points. I would say that would be a sicker man. Sorry. Yes. I want to see single elimination tug of war. I think that would be one of the coolest fucking events ever. At a CrossFit competition. Major ball sack hairs or labia hairs, however you want to think about it. You just have insane amounts of savage ness here. I just want to see that. I think that would be extremely cool. Look at these guys. Just one V one one V one. These guys, God, that would be sick, right?
JR Howell (19:42):
That’d be fun. And they’ve done it with teams, so as long as they’ve never done that before, so I think it would be cool to do it.
Taylor Self (19:48):
I want to see more one-on-one type of stuff. I just think that’s cool. Single elimination. One-on-one. See ya. Alright, so definitely tug of war 1 0 1. I don’t know. I would expect, I
JR Howell (20:01):
Think they’re going to throw something. I think they’ll throw something this year. I don’t know what, but
Taylor Self (20:05):
I don’t think they’re going to do it with one hand. I think they’ll put it over an object. I really do feel like a sandbag over a log or over a pull-up bar or over a pull-up bar log. Even at a set height where it’s hard enough, I really do think that sandbag clean and jerk at a particular height, if it’s at forehead height or just above is the perfect height to make that movement so fricking hard to go.
JR Howell (20:29):
They pretty much had to do that at the games with the muscle up logs, right? Because
Taylor Self (20:32):
It wasn’t right, but it was just a bit heavy. It was too heavy and you could kind of just put it on top of log and push it over. I really think it’d be cool if they went with a lighter bag and a little bit of a higher height so I could see that throwing something over and then a flip would be so fucking tight.
JR Howell (20:49):
I think that Caber, just to use it just to advance down the field to play would be a cool tip of the hat to that.
Taylor Self (20:56):
Yeah.
JR Howell (20:58):
Kind of
Taylor Self (20:58):
History. What do you think about the lateral pegboard? Big cat
JR Howell (21:02):
Theory I think mean. I like the theory. They’ll go one of two ways with this. They’ll try to let the pegboard be the thing that people can separate on or they’ll just say, yeah, let’s see if you can do this pegboard while your grip is already messed up. So it’ll be just like an attrition type thing. So it’d be like Zeus double under Zeus pro, double under with the peg board or I hope that it is something where it’s like the peg board is kind of in the middle of the up and back chipper. So they do something, they do something, they go down the horizontal peg board, they go do something else and they come back and they go across it the other way where it’s kind of like the middle of an up and back chipper style thing.
Taylor Self (21:48):
Do you think that they’ll do another dual style of workout?
JR Howell (21:55):
They’ve done it every year. They’ve done it every year. Well they’ve done it I guess since they went to LL Diamond. They’ve done it the last three years.
Taylor Self (22:06):
A dual workout with some sort of tug of war. What would you think if they tried to standardize a tug of war style of implement? Maybe not a hand overhand sled pole, but something similar like that where it was the same for everyone and they just introduced it in an event like the dual god tug of war dual would be so fucking cool, dude. Damn, that would
JR Howell (22:28):
Be cool. That would be cool. And I’m sure Rogue could manufacture something that’s like, it’s a sled that you can push on either side. So I stand on one side, you stand on the other and we go until one of us acquiesces to the other person’s strength and basically you cross a line so it’s not moving and it’s not moving, it’s not moving. Then all of a sudden you get it moving a little bit in your direction
Taylor Self (22:52):
And
JR Howell (22:52):
Then I can’t keep up and then
Taylor Self (22:55):
Can’t yield the load.
JR Howell (22:56):
Something like that. That’d be cool. Yeah.
Taylor Self (23:00):
Wow. They’re carving out these fricking historic stones. This is crazy. They should do one of those packy events where they, I forget what it’s called, something else that would cool. They do the fucking stone squawk clean to one arm.
JR Howell (23:15):
Oh yeah. That’s really cool to watch. Go ahead. That’s cool to watch something else. That would be cool if they did. I think you can still see ’em on Rogue where they’re like a covering for Atlas stones. They’re like a rubber casing that goes over to where it’s more like a stone where they did the sandbag to the pedestal that year. It’s more like an actual stone. It’s just rubber. So it’s not like a D ball. It doesn’t give shape. That would be something cool if they did a ladder, like a medley of just soft stone to a pedestal or something like that would be cool.
Taylor Self (23:52):
Crossword equipment. Let’s check what the new Echo rower. They’re definitely going to use those a hundred percent.
JR Howell (23:58):
Yeah, I think a prediction would be, I could see them doing a version of Lazars morning chalk up workout using the row.
Taylor Self (24:10):
Oh, oh, that would be cool. That’s a brutal workout now
JR Howell (24:15):
Buddy, because that’s a row strict handstand, pushup bar muscle up and you changed the order of the stuff.
Taylor Self (24:22):
Took me like a hundred minutes or something when I did
JR Howell (24:23):
It with this. Feels exactly like a concept two. I got one in the barn. It feels exactly like a concept two hour course you do. There’s not to me. Damn. That’s a hot deal for sure. That is a really good deal.
Taylor Self (24:36):
Hot deal. Y’all get it while it’s hot.
JR Howell (24:40):
So yeah, version of if they did a tribute workout, I could see them doing that.
Taylor Self (24:46):
Thank you Renee. And if you check out the Thursday workouts, they’re sick, you’ll love them. The strength work is also really cool and maybe some of the 60 workouts you’ll enjoy. I know you don’t do a lot of CrossFit anymore, but I don’t know. Check it out. If you’re looking for the accessory stuff, it’s always on the compete track under accessory. And some accessory is accessory and some of it’s some days the accessories is an interval work workout. Some days the accessory is like sled work. So I think next week there’s some sled sprints, which is not, but there is some good accessory stuff. Sorry. Yeah, that’d be cool. A version of Lazar I think is a great prediction with the echo rower. Love that. Okay, what else? CrossFit equipment. Oh dude, they’re deaf. Going to have a barbell. Do you think We’ll see cleaning drinks this year.
JR Howell (25:40):
So the last two years the finale had a 2 25, 1 55 barbell. Two years ago it was Double grace. I’m sorry, heavy grace,
Taylor Self (25:51):
Heavy grace.
JR Howell (25:52):
And then last year it was those couplets of different 2 25, 1 55 movements with the double unders.
Taylor Self (25:58):
Oh yeah. And they were inside. Yeah, so I think wasn’t clean jerks. It was clean and jerks and double unders. Right.
JR Howell (26:08):
It was like clean and then squat, clean and then clean and jerk, something like that. It was three different barbell movements. I think they’re going to do heavy Isabel this year. That’s the prediction. I have 2 25, 30 reps for a time.
Taylor Self (26:22):
Do you think most people power the whole workout or squat? The whole workout or half and half?
JR Howell (26:31):
I think you have to power at the beginning. I think you have to if you’re going to have a fast time
Taylor Self (26:41):
Tell. That’s a rich froning, bro. Do you think anyone could beat Rich Froning in the 2012 chipper right now? His time was fucking insane. Seven 16 his time was his time was seven 16. No, not right now. Not with those movements. It’s too much squatting. So look, 10 overhead squats, 1 55, 10
(27:05):
Box jump overs, 10 axle bar thrusters, 1 35, 10 power cleans, 2 0 5, 10 toast bar, 10 burpee ring muscle up, 10 toes to bar 10 power cleans, 10 axle thrusters, 10 jump overs, 10 overhead squats. And he did that in seven 16. Unreal. I don’t think there’s anyone other than maybe Colton just because how good Colton is at squatting and his range of motion. I hate to say it Colton, but yes, that plays a part. Wow. Thank you. Renee. Savon will. Thank you. Yeah, I think Colton could potentially, but dude, think about Rich in 2012 as a fucking just meat castle. Insane. I don’t think anyone can after watching Bryson do it and get absolutely pounded, not pounded, but damn. He went hard and rich was like three minutes faster. Crazy. Wow. This is all they have for CrossFit equipment. I could think of so many other things that are Oh, do you think they’ll do I want to see them do a workout with farmer’s caries and a lot of ’em.
JR Howell (28:27):
I think it’d be cool if they used something other than Jerry bags. Yeah. Not Jerry bags, but I want to see they use heavy dumbbells or they use handles like actual farmer’s handles. It’d be cool. Yeah. Oh, here we go. If you want to go over to Spin’s link, we can look at some of the time domains. Some long windows in there. Good god.
Taylor Self (28:47):
All
JR Howell (28:47):
Right. Some long windows.
Taylor Self (28:51):
Do we know how many athletes there are?
JR Howell (28:54):
20 and 20.
Taylor Self (28:55):
Okay, so that’s a two hour window. Heats are 28 minutes. But also too transition times between heats. So it’s probably a 25 minute cap maybe. Wow. These are long workouts. And they also give a lot of time though. Let’s see, Sunday, this is probably where it’s going to be the dual or even the dual. And it’s like each thing is like two minutes, but it takes ’em forever to reseed.
JR Howell (29:27):
Yeah. So the year they did the squat snatch, Zeus Pro Sandbag to pedestal, it was the finale, right? That was the last workout.
Taylor Self (29:35):
Oh dude, what’s really cool? Check this out. 28 minutes, 21 minutes. 15 minutes. Workouts get shorter as the day goes. 19, 10, 5 workouts get shorter as the day goes. 2118. 18 workouts ish. Get shorter as the day goes. I really like that. That’s a bit of intricacy that I first recognized and saw. And.
