Sevan Matossian (00:00):

That’s what happens when you’re Jesus criming of your back is wide. Can’t believe John, your back is so wide. How do you fit through a door? You have a wide back or maybe that’s just a narrow door. Maybe that’s what that

Andrew Hiller (00:13):

Sevan Matossian (00:13):

It does look like a narrow door. Now they think about it. Those are five foot ceilings.

John Young (00:19):

I’m sorry. My

Sevan Matossian (00:21):

God, your back is huge. Hey guys, there are people here that I am deeply aligned with who help keep the lights on here. There’s a company called Birthfit who’s been very generous in helping us keep the lights on here at the Seon podcast. I highly recommend it if you are fornicating without prophylactics or using any contraception that you look into them and if you have caught a load of the baby batter and you’re growing a baby inside of you, I also recommend contacting them. They’re great people. I align with them strongly in their beliefs and they’re catering to the needs of bringing a baby into the world. Also, paper Street Coffee has been extremely generous, including their $200 that they gave away yesterday, but they are a daily sponsor. The podcast, Gabe Gabe’s amazing. They just opened their first store in the Crest Gill in Crest Gills, New Jersey.

I highly recommend if you’re in the area to go over and check out their place. Of course, vindicate, they sell all the seven podcast shirts, hats, and for a lot of the other beloved media shows. Oh, look at Hillary representing a lot of the Beloved media, my homeboys in the space. They also rep them so you can go over there and get gear. And then finally, of course, born Primitive has gone above and beyond. They’ve given us a discount code. 20% off the shirts fit. Great. I’ve talked ad nauseum about how amazing the shoes are. Look in if you don’t believe me either, just look in the comments. No one in the comments is saying, no, I didn’t like my shoes. Or No, the shirt doesn’t fit. Good shirt fits good if you have broad shoulders and if you have cannons like me. So

Andrew Hiller (02:05):

Did you go find the dirtiest pair? No, dude, I wore the shit out of these. I got ’em on Black Friday and I’ve worn on basically every day since.

Sevan Matossian (02:15):

I don’t wear the white, I wear the black.

Andrew Hiller (02:16):

It’s the difference between those and mine. Oh my God. Come on. Yeah,

John Young (02:23):

I often have trouble spotting shirts that fit my wide back. Yeah, PRI Born Primitive is fitting great

Sevan Matossian (02:29):

Right now. Yeah, it’s great. It’s great. I have a big back too, and it’s for a little guy and it’s great and it doesn’t pull too tight on the titties. Looks like you stepped in shit and it sneed on the side, the

Andrew Hiller (02:41):

Shovel wood. I was just hitting that part of the shovel with my foot.

Sevan Matossian (02:45):

And then of course the sponsor that’s that’s always there. Always taking care of us, takes care of my family, takes care of so much of everything that I do. So many aspects of my life checks in on me regularly. Sarah Cox, the owner of ca, so it is a fantastic crew. Also, it is an honor that the people over at Underdogs Athletics Keefer and Justin Kotler trusted us with these videos to show on our platform that does require a great amount of trust to let us look at their videos, critique them, have their athletes on the whole shebang. So I really appreciate that and I’m excited to continue the open shows from Thursday to Friday to Saturday. So we’re pumped before we get to business with the open is Tyson Beget the fittest player in the NFL John Young,

Andrew Hiller (03:45):

Careful, careful.

Sevan Matossian (03:47):

Is Tyson Beget the fittest player in the NFL?

John Young (03:50):

I’m going to say yes.

Andrew Hiller (03:52):

Why do you say yes?

John Young (03:55):

I don’t think any other NFL player can put down what he just put down in 24.1.

Andrew Hiller (03:59):

Isn’t that impressive as hell?

John Young (04:01):

It’s pretty darn impressive. Yeah,

Andrew Hiller (04:03):

John Young (04:04):

And he’s 60, like

Andrew Hiller (04:05):

6 3, 6 3, 6 4. He is crazy tall.

Sevan Matossian (04:08):

If you guys are wondering what he’s talking about, if you go over to the Hiller Fit YouTube station or not now. Not now.

John Young (04:12):

Henry fricking banded workouts that he does for his balance stuff does not make you a good fit is it’s

Andrew Hiller (04:19):

Very balanced. They’re on the rig and they just do that stupid.

John Young (04:22):

Yeah, and I’m going to tell you right now, I can do all of that stuff. It ain’t that hard.

Andrew Hiller (04:27):

Hey dude, the fact that was even more impressive about this is that he jumps up and down on all of his burpees afterwards. I go, Hey, do you not step double foot? He goes, what’s stepping? And I go, it’s how you take a minute off your time.

Sevan Matossian (04:41):

This is truly an incredible video. The first video that Andrew made with Tyson has caught on fire in the last week. It’s probably 10 days old, but in the last four or five days it’s caught on fire. I think it’s going to go. Has he gone over a hundred thousand Andrew?

Andrew Hiller (04:52):

It just hit 102 I think.

Sevan Matossian (04:55):

Yeah, wild. And then so Andrew Tyson was generous enough to invite Andrew out to the Arnold Andrew drove five hours in the morning to hang out with Tyson for the day and then drove five hours home and presented this to us the very next day. This is Chicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bet hanging out with

Andrew Hiller (05:10):

You are so stupid. It doesn not matter how you measure your fitness and the NFL cannot measure fitness differently because there’s only one way to measure fitness

John Young (05:21):

Measure athleticism. I think people mistake athleticism for fitness sometimes athletic’s

Andrew Hiller (05:26):

Probably a nicer way.

John Young (05:28):

It’s not Fitness and athleticism are two different things. I got you. Hold. Jeffrey Adler I would not say is super athletic because being athletic you can adapt to things on the fly. I think Patrick Felner is very athletic. They’re two different things yet Jeffrey Adler is the fittest man in the world right now.

Sevan Matossian (05:50):

Rich Fron is very athletic.

John Young (05:52):

Yeah. I wouldn’t say Rich is athletic SA

Andrew Hiller (05:55):

Not beating Jeff Adler

Tyler Watkins (05:56):

At the CrossFit games ever.

John Young (05:58):

No matter se Juan Barkley couldn’t beat me in a 5K and that’s bad.

Tyler Watkins (06:03):

Sevan Matossian (06:06):

Andrew Hiller is Tyson bet the fittest man in the NFL.

Tyler Watkins (06:10):

Sevan Matossian (06:12):

Tyler Watkins is Tyson bet the fittest man in the NFL.

Tyler Watkins (06:16):

I won’t spoil his time on Hiller’s video, but if you’re putting up a time like that and you do all the things that he does for sure.

Sevan Matossian (06:23):

Do you guys think that there’s anyone we could go to their house and just in the NFL and be like, Hey, do this workout and they could be Tyson’s time.

John Young (06:29):

I bet there’s a random kicker out there that’s fit that we don’t know about just

Tyler Watkins (06:34):

Does CrossFit.

John Young (06:35):

Yeah. Yeah. And maybe he does CrossFit too that we just don’t know about. But I’m going to say Tyson’s the fittest sky. I just think there’s probably somebody close to him though.

Sevan Matossian (06:44):

You’d be surprised. It’s pretty impressive man, because it’s a great cohort of athletes, a very explosive, highly trained athletes and I do suspect that he is also the fittest player in the NFL Chicago’s quarterback Tyson be.

John Young (06:59):

Did you see Tom Brady ran a faster 42 days ago than his combine?

Sevan Matossian (07:05):

I did see that. I didn’t see it. I heard about

Tyler Watkins (07:07):

It. Crazy. What does he weigh? He’s got away quite a bit less.

John Young (07:12):

Oh, I think he weighs more

Tyler Watkins (07:14):

John Young (07:15):

Dude, go look at his combine. He was like a string bean of all string beans.

Sevan Matossian (07:21):

Oh, what mic are you using, John?

John Young (07:23):

The computer mic.

Sevan Matossian (07:24):

Oh, now it’s hollow again. That’s weird.

John Young (07:27):

Do you want me to switch back to the regular mic?

Sevan Matossian (07:30):

Sure, let’s try. Let’s see what happens.

John Young (07:32):

Sevan Matossian (07:34):

We are lucky enough to have video of one of the greatest CrossFitters alive today. One of the fittest men on the planet for sure. Top five. He is a complete savage. Ricky Mack, everyone loves to see him compete. He’s fun, he’s personable. He’s cool as shit. He’s beautiful and he’s going up against Zane Healy. Never heard of him. This is 24.1. This is the workout we saw the boys do last night. I believe These are their final scores that will be submitted. The gentleman with the green folder next to Ricky is also a former games athlete. Benny Ard. Ricky’s older brother. 18 inches shorter.

Tyler Watkins (08:20):

Zane got second at the down under in the pro division, their elite division.

Sevan Matossian (08:30):

Who made this layout? Why is my nose cut off?

Tyler Watkins (08:33):

That would be me. It would be

Sevan Matossian (08:39):

Is someone telling me something?

Tyler Watkins (08:41):

I went after Will’s layout. I did the best they could. Should have gave it to Will.

Sevan Matossian (08:49):

So this is them doing 24 1. I believe these are the times they’re going to submit. Let’s let the tape roll. Feel free to chime in anywhere, boys.

John Young (09:00):

Oh, they’ve already done this? Yeah,

Tyler Watkins (09:02):

We’re ARDS pants there. They’re okay. They’re behind the clipboard.

John Young (09:04):

Oh, I’m hoping Ricky gets 5 39 and we have two world records on our two podcasts

Tyler Watkins (09:11):

John Young (09:11):

This point. Because

Tyler Watkins (09:13):

X’s no shot?

John Young (09:15):

Tyler Watkins (09:15):

You don’t think so?

John Young (09:16):

You thought he had a shot beforehand?

Tyler Watkins (09:18):

I mean unless Ricky just explodes. Hey,

Sevan Matossian (09:21):

Check this out. Zane started with his left arm. How many people did that?

John Young (09:25):

That’s good point. That did

Tyler Watkins (09:27):

You? I did. Yeah.

John Young (09:28):

Why? It’s my weaker arm.

Tyler Watkins (09:31):

I think Rich did the same thing when I watched his video.

Sevan Matossian (09:35):

Is Zane lowering it too slow? Is he using too much energy to lower the dumbbell?

John Young (09:40):

He’s just going slower.

Tyler Watkins (09:42):

Yeah, I think he’d try to be a little more conservative. Is Ricky going behind or over the dumbbell?

John Young (09:49):

He looks like he’s going over. Oh, I think he’s going over the

Tyler Watkins (09:51):

John Young (09:51):

Side. Does not look great.

Tyler Watkins (09:53):

It’s so hard to judge. It is, but it’s not like they’re going to be watching him anyway, so

John Young (10:00):

Good point. He’s clearly showing the capacity to jump over the dumbbell bill.

Sevan Matossian (10:04):

Hey, so what’s the rule? Both the feet aren’t landing at the same time. Do they need to?

Tyler Watkins (10:08):

No. No.

Sevan Matossian (10:09):

Okay. What is the rule?

Tyler Watkins (10:11):

Both feet have to be the air to in the air at the same time.

John Young (10:15):

You just have to jump. You can jump off one, you can jump off two, you can land on one, you can land on two. You just have to jump and both feet can’t.

Tyler Watkins (10:22):

God, he’s already got to. Hey, can someone tell me whether or not this was even supposed to be close?

John Young (10:28):

No, it wasn’t. They don’t have anybody that can be close to him. I think they should do a handicap. Ricky has to beat Zane by a minute.

Tyler Watkins (10:36):

That would be positive. I think

John Young (10:38):

That’s how you should do it

Tyler Watkins (10:40):

In the setup. It was a bit difficult. It was like once we knew Ricky was in the game, it was like how do we make this fair

John Young (10:49):

By doing a handicap?

Tyler Watkins (10:50):

Yeah, but we didn’t think of that at the time, John.

John Young (10:53):

I just thought of it up the top of my head. What are you talking about? Just make it next time.

Tyler Watkins (10:58):

Sevan Matossian (10:59):

50 pound dumbbell. By the way, for those of you who don’t know the workout by now, it’s 21 snatches, 21 burpees, 21 snatches, 21 Bures. Then the same thing with 15 and the same thing with nine. You have to start with your back to the dumbbell and you have to do all the snatches with one arm and then the other set of snatches in each set with the other arm. That’s basically the rules of the workout. I think I rated the workout in a one to 10 as a 10. Absolutely loved it.

Tyler Watkins (11:23):

John, what do you think the handicap should be?

John Young (11:26):

A minute?

Tyler Watkins (11:27):

Yeah, a minute. He’s already 19 seconds. He’s got a 19 second lead on Zane right now. Do you

John Young (11:32):

Know the scores already? Tyler?

Tyler Watkins (11:35):

I know Ricky’s, Ricky does not look like he’s going over that dumbbell on a lot of

Sevan Matossian (11:40):

Them. Okay, so we’re at 2 39 and Ricky has slowed down.

John Young (11:46):

So to put this into perspective, Taylor has a 14 second lead on Ricky right now. Holy

Tyler Watkins (11:51):

Sevan Matossian (11:54):

Ricky, which is what is 10 reps

John Young (11:59):

On the snatches? Not 10, it’s seven.

Andrew Hiller (12:03):

Yeah, but Ricky is Tanner and has better abs than Taylor.

Tyler Watkins (12:10):

Taylor’s got the North Carolina to battle with Ricky’s got that son

Andrew Hiller (12:15):

Right. Hey, do you guys watch that Mayhem video where they’ve got the elite and the Rx and then the regular and then the Scaled People Foundation?

Tyler Watkins (12:25):

I watched them last year.

Andrew Hiller (12:28):

I feel like I’m watching one of those right now.

Sevan Matossian (12:30):

Oh damn, Zane. I apologize, Zane, I apologize. Hey, tell me about Zane. Has Zane been to semifinals before?

Tyler Watkins (12:36):

Sevan Matossian (12:38):

So he’s a top tier athlete?

Tyler Watkins (12:40):

Yes. He was like a middle of the pack

Sevan Matossian (12:43):

Last year. Well, he finished top 1000 in the open.

Tyler Watkins (12:45):

Yeah, a hundred percent. Damn.

Sevan Matossian (12:48):

And what about this fan on Ricky? Do he like this while he is working out?

Tyler Watkins (12:53):

Some people say that helps a lot. It stresses me out.

Sevan Matossian (12:57):

I don’t like it.

Tyler Watkins (12:58):

I don’t either.

Andrew Hiller (12:59):

What do you not like about the fame?

Sevan Matossian (13:00):

I don’t want anything blowing on me. I don’t want external shit going on around me when I’m working out. I don’t even

John Young (13:06):

Want music. Taylor was done with the burpees at 4 24 and Ricky just started them.

Tyler Watkins (13:14):

It’s crazy how well Zane’s moving. I don’t think he slowed down all that much. It’s just Ricky’s so fast.

Sevan Matossian (13:23):

He’s worming now. Zane is worming now.

Tyler Watkins (13:26):

Yeah, when I was, I kind went through a period where I worked on my burpees for a long time and that was something they taught me that Travis Mayer does, which is push up with your chest to keep your hips on the ground and it does save quite a bit of energy. I like that.

John Young (13:41):

Okay. Who’s really, really good at that and long burpee workouts is Lazar do as our does burpees like that. And it looks painful almost how he does it, but Oh,

Andrew Hiller (13:52):

Ricky, you’re wasting time.

Sevan Matossian (13:53):

What’d he do? I missed it. I was looking at Zane

Andrew Hiller (13:55):

And also if he was going to use the wrong arm at one point and Ben had to correct him.

Sevan Matossian (13:59):

Oh damn.

John Young (14:00):

I’m going to say Ricky’s time. It’s 6 0 8.

Tyler Watkins (14:06):

All right.

Sevan Matossian (14:07):

What are you going to say? Zane’s time is under seven.

John Young (14:11):

Andrew Hiller (14:12):

9 0 8.

John Young (14:13):

No, he started faster than

Andrew Hiller (14:15):

9 0 8. I know, I know. I’m messing. He’s going to be probably 7 45, 7 40.

Tyler Watkins (14:19):

How much did you guys think about lowering yourself? I tried to stop. I tried to remind myself to stop doing that every chance I could, but it was so hard not to do it.

Andrew Hiller (14:28):

Not doing what?

Tyler Watkins (14:29):

Lowering to the ground on the burpee. See how right now? Yeah.

Sevan Matossian (14:34):

You mean as opposed to just letting yourself slam to the ground dude?

Tyler Watkins (14:37):

Sevan Matossian (14:39):

Kind of. When

John Young (14:39):

I got to the fifteens I was like, I just want to survive this. I already did it wrong.

Andrew Hiller (14:45):

I already

Tyler Watkins (14:45):

Did it wrong.

Sevan Matossian (14:48):

How about what Taylor told us yesterday, he had the thought, why am I even pushing this hard down’s already ahead of me?

Andrew Hiller (14:54):

He’s going behind that dumbbell. Oh, Ricky. Oh Ricky. I dunno,

John Young (14:59):

Tyler Watkins (15:00):

He’s over the front of the

Andrew Hiller (15:02):

Back dumbbell. I dunno, dude, you know what? He

John Young (15:04):

Doesn’t look great man.

Tyler Watkins (15:05):

6 0 3.

John Young (15:08):

I’m on hill side on that.

Tyler Watkins (15:10):

Go Zane. So he’s got to finish in 7 0 3.

Andrew Hiller (15:14):

Does it count if his score’s invalid? Does Zane win then?

Tyler Watkins (15:18):

Andrew Hiller (15:18):

Don’t think it’s valid.

Sevan Matossian (15:20):

Hey, the one thing about Zane is he’s pacing it perfectly. I mean he’s just staying right on track. Yeah,

John Young (15:26):

No. Yeah, he’s doing great. It’s just,

Andrew Hiller (15:29):

Is he in the round of 21?

John Young (15:32):

You can’t put him against Ricky.

Tyler Watkins (15:36):

That’s where I was about this point.

John Young (15:39):

He’s got last nine left. This

Tyler Watkins (15:41):

Is the last nine? Yeah, I think so. Oh

Andrew Hiller (15:42):

Dude, this is okay. He’s doing great.

Tyler Watkins (15:44):

Sevan Matossian (15:45):

Seven 15.

Tyler Watkins (15:48):

Alright, so notes for heat. One is we need to figure out how to give handicaps

John Young (15:52):

A minute. Handicap here would’ve been perfect and Ricky still wins, but that would’ve been perfect.

Tyler Watkins (15:59):

Andrew Hiller (15:59):

That they would’ve never done that to him. It would’ve destroyed his confidence or something. He had a comment in here. They wouldn’t have done that.

John Young (16:07):

It doesn’t,

Andrew Hiller (16:08):

Let’s see if I can find it there. It’s, I’m

John Young (16:09):

Sorry Zane. You are not one of the fittest people in the world. You’re not top three fittest guy in the world. I think he knows that

Tyler Watkins (16:20):

He picked up. Yeah. How

Sevan Matossian (16:21):

Old is Zane do we know

Tyler Watkins (16:24):

He don’t.

Andrew Hiller (16:25):

Up 7 23.

Tyler Watkins (16:26):

7 23.

Andrew Hiller (16:27):

Hey John, if I would’ve said to give you a three minute handicap against Ricky, would you have thought you could have taken him?

John Young (16:32):

No. Would it have upon doing it, upon having done it? My answer is no.

Andrew Hiller (16:40):

I mean before even.

Sevan Matossian (16:42):

So let’s put that in perspective a second.

John Young (16:43):

Yeah, I probably would.

Andrew Hiller (16:46):

Would you have taken that against Taylor?

John Young (16:48):

A three? Yeah. Before I knew Taylor had that in the bag. Yeah, and I mean Taylor, he just winced. I didn’t know he had a world record timing in him.

Tyler Watkins (16:58):

Sevan Matossian (16:59):

Hey, before we, who’s gotten slower than Zane? Jack Farlow did 7 45?

Tyler Watkins (17:07):

Sevan Matossian (17:08):

Is that the slowest time we’ve seen from games athletes so far?

Tyler Watkins (17:11):

Didn’t gee get something worse?

John Young (17:12):

No, I think that that was a fake score.

Tyler Watkins (17:15):

Fake misinformation.

John Young (17:17):

Andrew Hiller (17:20):

I heard Jack Farlow is not feeling well.

Sevan Matossian (17:24):

No one felt well after that workout. Okay. Gracie Walton, Caitlin Van Zeal, what’s Gracie Walton’s deal? She showed up on the scene at Waap Palooza and that’s where she’s had her greatest success. Did she win Waap Palooza? She won one of the events.

Tyler Watkins (17:41):

I don’t think she won one of the swimming. Yeah, she won the swim swimming event. Yeah. Which we sort of knew probably going in if you knew anything about her.

John Young (17:49):

No, she was,

Sevan Matossian (17:51):

I think I screwed

John Young (17:52):

This up again. Third in the to down under, she was third in the tore down under first was Maddie Stir and then second was Annika career.

Tyler Watkins (18:02):

She swam for a long time. She was super humble about it. She was like, I’ll probably do okay. And I was like, yeah, you want it.

Sevan Matossian (18:11):

What’s the highlight of Gracie’s CrossFit Career or CrossFit competition career.

John Young (18:15):

Probably that swim event win.

Tyler Watkins (18:17):

Yeah, I would say

John Young (18:19):

She’s just somebody that’s on the rise.

Tyler Watkins (18:22):

Yes. I would expect she probably is getting close to being in games. Contention from the Oceana region.

Sevan Matossian (18:31):

And where’s Zane competing out of?

Tyler Watkins (18:33):

Sevan Matossian (18:34):

Oceana. Okay. So Zane the Oceana division this year. Who are the top gals there? Ellie Turner.

John Young (18:42):

Maddie Turner. Turner, Maddie. Yeah, I mean you know ’em all. You’re saying really ’em all.

Sevan Matossian (18:46):

Who else?

Andrew Hiller (18:47):

Van Zeal. Oh, she’s right there.

Sevan Matossian (18:48):

Okay Team. There

John Young (18:50):

Are a lot of girls that are going team if Tia got the exemption right?

Tyler Watkins (18:55):

Yes, Sam.

John Young (18:56):

So we don’t know that for a fact, but she’s not there.

Sevan Matossian (18:59):

So out of Caitlyn, van Zeal, Gracie Walton, Maddie Stewart and Ellie Turner, all four of ’em can’t go right? Only three can go.

Tyler Watkins (19:06):

Or is it two at the moment, but at the moment it will reset and if all of the girls who are going team in Oceania, also the pros like Carl Webb and all them, if they sign up for quarterfinals, they’ll likely get another spot.

Andrew Hiller (19:19):

Emily Deroy, Jamie Simmons.

Sevan Matossian (19:22):

And what’s the highest Zane has finished? Does anyone know over there? I’ll check in a second if we dunno.

Andrew Hiller (19:28):

My finals.

Sevan Matossian (19:29):

Okay. Okay. Right

John Young (19:30):

Andrew Hiller (19:31):

The middle Venzi was fourth last year. Sorry.

Sevan Matossian (19:35):

Okay, so these are all, if we saw any of these people, the games we wouldn’t be, shouldn’t be surprised. Okay, here we go. Gracie, Walton, Caitlin, zeal, underdogs, athletics athletes, both vying for a spot to get to the Tour Pro and then make it to the games.

Andrew Hiller (19:52):

Hey, do we ever say why we’re doing this?

Sevan Matossian (19:54):

Because we’re cool.

Andrew Hiller (19:56):

Isn. Isn’t this on the Heat one app?

Tyler Watkins (19:58):

Yeah, this is on the heat one app. People were able to pick

Sevan Matossian (20:02):

Download, forget about my own shit. Sorry. And I got mine open. Download the Heat one app. This is a game we are all playing. Anyone who’s cool is playing, anyone with you can be any kind of person. Boy, girl, anything man

John Young (20:15):

Tyler Watkins (20:17):

So Caitlin has to get a minute. How many seconds did Zane finish in?

John Young (20:24):

Well I would say these two are more even in fitness.

Andrew Hiller (20:27):

7 23.

Tyler Watkins (20:28):

7 23. So she needs to get a minute and 23 slower than Gracie for them to win.

John Young (20:34):

Oh, I mean that’s stupid. Yeah. Give Zain a handicap next time and then this will be fixed.

Sevan Matossian (20:41):

What’s the highest? Gracie’s finished in a semi-final

Andrew Hiller (20:45):

Last year. Walton was sixth.

Tyler Watkins (20:48):

Oh, so this she’s right there. So

Sevan Matossian (20:49):

This is fifth and sixth from last year’s story Pro.

John Young (20:52):

No, ironically, Zay, Caitlin and Gracie are all underdogs in the Oceana region to make it to the games. They could make it, but they’re underdogs to make it.

Tyler Watkins (21:04):

Don’t make Caitlin came out way faster.

Sevan Matossian (21:06):

CrossFit games leader

Tyler Watkins (21:07):

Leaderboard. Caitlin’s also on that. What is it that old show where you have to battle against the bodybuilders and all

Sevan Matossian (21:21):

That? The Titan games?

Tyler Watkins (21:23):

No, it was like

Sevan Matossian (21:25):

In the gladiator. Gladiator.

Tyler Watkins (21:26):

Gladiator. He’s in the Australian version of the gladiators. Oh, with Con that one? Yeah, I have seen that.

John Young (21:33):

Where they got to dress all up.

Tyler Watkins (21:35):

Sevan Matossian (21:36):

Where do I find the, I don’t even know how to find the leaderboard.

John Young (21:38):

I keep thinking the girl next to Caitlyn is Gracie and it’s not, but they’re dressed like the same. They are.

Tyler Watkins (21:47):

I don’t know who that girl is, but be proud. You’re on the show.

Sevan Matossian (21:53):

Oceana. Oh this is team. Give me

Tyler Watkins (21:55):

A second. So Grace caught up right there. Caitlin came out way higher. I

John Young (21:58):

Don’t think Grace was behind. I think we’re looking at that girl next to Caitlin.

Sevan Matossian (22:03):

So these are the names of the pipe hitters from the women in Tor Pro, Ellie Turner, Jamie Simmons, Emily Deroy, Caitlyn Van Zeal and fourth. Madeline Stirton, fifth, Gracie Walton and sixth. Okay.

John Young (22:16):

And Jamie Simmons and Emily Deroy are going team.

Sevan Matossian (22:20):

Oh okay.

Tyler Watkins (22:21):

Alright, so Grace is going with the double foot. I think that’s the difference here.

John Young (22:27):

Well Caitlyn was in the beginning. She went to the Step Up,

Tyler Watkins (22:29):

She backed off. I heard Car Sanders is making a comeback this year.

John Young (22:33):

She’s in cheap.

Tyler Watkins (22:35):

She’s not, yeah,

Sevan Matossian (22:38):

That’s not making a comeback when you go to Yeah,

Tyler Watkins (22:41):

Don’t tell that to Rich.

John Young (22:43):

Alright. It wasn’t a comeback for Rich, it was just a continuance.

Tyler Watkins (22:47):

Four second lead. Grace,

Sevan Matossian (22:52):

Eat beavers. Sevy. Great. Getting your job, your score logged. I know. I’m really actually I’m Tyler.

John Young (22:57):

Are we doing this for lead two as well? Okay, I will try to come up or Hiller can try to come up or we can

Tyler Watkins (23:06):

Tag with

John Young (23:07):

The handicap for

Tyler Watkins (23:08):

With the handicap. We could probably include that for the athletes. Same athletes?

John Young (23:12):

Tyler Watkins (23:12):

Same athletes? No different athletes.

John Young (23:13):

Oh, okay.

Tyler Watkins (23:14):

Okay. Different athletes. We’re just showcasing the underdogs athletes.

John Young (23:18):

I got you. If a handicap is needed, we’ll issue a hand.

Tyler Watkins (23:23):

I’ll let you know.

Sevan Matossian (23:24):

Is that, hey Van Zeal ISS turning it up at 3 32. She’s accelerating.

Tyler Watkins (23:31):

Grace had a four second lead to the dumbbell, so we’ll see. Or off the dumbbell. Grace

John Young (23:37):

Still looks good.

Tyler Watkins (23:38):

Sevan Matossian (23:39):

She does.

Tyler Watkins (23:41):

2, 3, 7. Are you sore from doing that?

John Young (23:43):

Yeah, grace is fine man.

Andrew Hiller (23:46):

Sevan Matossian (23:46):

Andrew Hiller (23:47):

Tyler Watkins (23:51):

I figured

Andrew Hiller (23:51):

Made up

Tyler Watkins (23:53):

Eight seconds on the burpees.

Sevan Matossian (23:55):

Maybe tomorrow. Do you

Tyler Watkins (23:57):

Remember when was it 17 one? The first time we got dumbbells.

John Young (24:01):

Tyler Watkins (24:01):

Brent. I got super sore from that one but not from this one.

John Young (24:05):

Well it’s twice as many snatches almost. That’s a good point. It’s a one 50 snatches versus 90 and you have 40 and 50 in a row at the end versus going down to nines. It’s wild. How is

Sevan Matossian (24:18):

Walton so far ahead of Van? Zi is moving so fast.

Tyler Watkins (24:23):

It’s the burpees, the double foot is saving her so much time versus that step up that Caitlin’s using.

Andrew Hiller (24:28):

I like how you call it the double foot. I just never heard of it called that the double foot.

John Young (24:36):

She’s doing the double foot.

Andrew Hiller (24:38):

Hey, how fast can Adler go if he doesn’t step every burpee? You think he goes way faster?

John Young (24:43):

I think he goes sub six, but I don’t know if he goes much faster than that.

Andrew Hiller (24:47):

Pretty good. Upper body pressing

Sevan Matossian (24:49):

Are these guys? Is this going down in Las Vegas? This is a really good point. It is really dry.

Tyler Watkins (24:55):

No, this is going on the Gold Coast and I can’t remember where grace is.

John Young (25:01):

I just, they’re all over. Feel like John absolutely sent it and he was 5 57.

Andrew Hiller (25:06):

What about BPC 1 57?

Sevan Matossian (25:08):

Someone asked what did seven, what’d you do to heal your arm? I used BPC 1 57.

Andrew Hiller (25:14):

That hasn’t been given you any issues, has it?

Sevan Matossian (25:16):

Maybe. Yeah, it hurts a little bit, but it didn’t hurt at all during that workout and I heard it doing dumbbell snatches, so that’s pretty cool.

John Young (25:25):

Grace is on her nines, right?

Tyler Watkins (25:27):

Yeah, yeah,

John Young (25:27):

Yeah. Last set of nines.

Tyler Watkins (25:29):

I think she looks like she’s moving for the last set.

John Young (25:34):

Dude, she looks like this the whole time.

Sevan Matossian (25:36):

And this girl’s strong suit is her swimming.

John Young (25:39):

Sevan Matossian (25:41):

35 pound dumbbell for the ladies. 50 pound for the boys.

Tyler Watkins (25:47):

Caitlyn was slamming the, if

John Young (25:49):

She gets sub six, that’s wildly impressive.

Tyler Watkins (25:54):

Come on. Nope,

Sevan Matossian (25:57):

You can get the BPC one Wow.

John Young (26:01):

Ricky, that’s a fantastic time for her.

Andrew Hiller (26:04):

Yeah, it’s pretty good.

Tyler Watkins (26:07):

It’s not going to be enough for Z.

Sevan Matossian (26:08):

What is the fastest woman’s time now?

Andrew Hiller (26:11):

Someone said got

John Young (26:12):

5, 5 51.

Sevan Matossian (26:17):

So the weights are perfect, right? We’re seeing times that are really comparable. The 15

Andrew Hiller (26:21):

And 20 times. Well I would say the burpees are generally slightly harder for the women, but the dumbbell is slightly easier, which makes the workout perfect.

Sevan Matossian (26:30):

What was, I

John Young (26:30):

Would argue it’s more of a burpee workout and than the snatch workout, which is why for the men the elite times are

Tyler Watkins (26:38):

6 28.

John Young (26:39):

I think the five 30 are the men.

Sevan Matossian (26:42):

And then 6 0 4 for

Tyler Watkins (26:46):

Gracie Alton, 6 0 2 for Gracie. She beat him by a second.

Andrew Hiller (26:51):

I got to check my at my heat warm

Sevan Matossian (26:52):

Up. And then do you remember Ricky’s score

Tyler Watkins (26:56):

6 0 3.

Sevan Matossian (26:58):

And then do you remember Zane score

John Young (27:00):

7 23.

Sevan Matossian (27:01):

Good job guys. Dang, you guys are good. And we’re saying that you think this is a burpee workout if you had to choose one.

John Young (27:10):

Well, I just think it’s all lungs, period. It’s just lungs, but way more of a burpee workout than a snatch workout.

Tyler Watkins (27:18):

You don’t really ever have to slow down on the dumbbell. It’s totally dictated by what you want to do on the burpees.

Sevan Matossian (27:26):

And here they are. Live in person to be ridiculed.

Andrew Hiller (27:30):

Zane (27:33):

Sevan Matossian (27:33):

Guys. What’s up guys?

Zane (27:35):

Hey listen,

John Young (27:36):

Hiller was talking so much good things about you Zane.

Andrew Hiller (27:41):

He was listening.

Zane (27:42):

We were listening from the stop.

Sevan Matossian (27:44):

Oh, hey, we have a really bad crackle. Could we use the speaker on your phone instead of the Yeah,

Zane (27:49):

Yeah, of course.

Sevan Matossian (27:50):

Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you. Hey Gracie, congratulations on the

John Young (27:56):

I tell you what you did. I could not see him that good looking from afar. He’s a really good looking guy.

Sevan Matossian (28:04):

Are you guys a couple?

Andrew Hiller (28:05):

Don’t try to fluff him now. He was going really slow compared to

Sevan Matossian (28:08):

Ricky. Oh, you guys are okay. Yeah. Well that works. We’re good looking people together. You guys chose appropriately, you guys? You guys did good. No one’s batting up. You guys met perfectly. Zane. How was the workout buddy? Zane, how’d you finish in the semifinals last year?

Zane (28:23):

I was 14th. So mid pack.

Sevan Matossian (28:26):

How was the workout?

Zane (28:29):

I probably just went out a little bit slow to be honest. So I was throwing up whether or not I should have gone with Grace because I knew how fast she was going to be and I was like, oh, I’ll just kind of run my own race. But I probably should have tried to go out a little bit hotter and hold on than just kind of hold one pace for the whole thing. By the end of it, I was still standing up. I wasn’t dead on the fall. I probably should have been, so yeah. It’s all right though.

Sevan Matossian (28:53):

Will you give it another shot or are you happy with it?

Zane (28:56):

No, I’ll just leave it. Yeah, so we just did it on Friday with a few of the guys from the gym and then just basically got straight back into training.

Sevan Matossian (29:03):

And when you say you think you should have gone faster, what would that have looked like? Faster on the burpees? Faster on the snatches. The snatches looked like they were going to fatigue you because of how slow you were controlling it on the way down?

Zane (29:12):

Yeah, I think the dumbbell snatches, you probably just have to try and cycle a little bit quicker. I think most of the time it’s probably made up on the burpees as you just saw with Grace and Caitlin Calin was moving the dumbbell really fast, but Grace’s burpees were just crazy quick. So I think the dumbbells, you could probably move a bit quicker and then I should have just stayed a little bit lower over the burpee rather than kind of standing up as tall as I did.

Sevan Matossian (29:35):

Grace, how did you choose to do what we call the double leg jump up as opposed to what Van Zeal was doing? The single leg? Did you have that planned ahead of time and how’d you make the decision?

Grace (29:45):

Yeah, I’ve always been good at the double leg and I feel like when I do one leg I get confused. So it was just easier to do the double leg.

Sevan Matossian (29:52):

Yeah, I think it’s confusing too. I’m glad to hear you say that. I would’ve never said that out loud. Thank you for making this a safe space. Yeah, it’s confusing as.
