Sevan Matossian (00:00):
I wonder where Hiller and, um, SU bam were live. What’s up guys? What’s up jar.
JR Howell (00:06):
What up?
Sevan Matossian (00:07):
What’s up? Uh, self-made training program,
Taylor Self (00:13):
But dusty what’s up
Sevan Matossian (00:16):
That boy Ducey. Um, I’m gonna get through a list of shit to say here. And then we’ll circle back. Look at scoreboards. Talk about tomorrow. Have fun. Um, well shit SU says are by the athletes. Well, shit log int even see, um, Heidi, I didn’t not enjoy Dan Bailey commentating.
Taylor Self (00:45):
Why? Explain that to me.
Sevan Matossian (00:47):
Just get the fuck outta booth. He’s not adding anything for me. I don’t respect him first of all, but he doesn’t add shit for me.
Taylor Self (00:53):
Why don’t you respect him?
Sevan Matossian (00:54):
Cause, cause he’s a tool and a sell out for a woke punk. I don’t wanna get into it. Well, I’ll tell you why. Yeah, because when the, when the company was sold, he chose the wrong side. Talk shit behind my back, but not, but there’s but, but I’m not a Sean Woodland fan on a personal level either. And I think he did great, but I think it’s
JR Howell (01:16):
Good when Dan can speak to the fact that he tested some of these workouts. I think that’s useful.
Sevan Matossian (01:20):
Sure. I agree.
Taylor Self (01:24):
<laugh>
Sevan Matossian (01:25):
But I just hear talk and I just hear bullshit. I hear, I, I think it’s just sissy shit. Like he’s, he’s pretending to say something and I’m getting nothing from him. Did you did, what did you think, Taylor, did you enjoy it?
Taylor Self (01:37):
Uh, to be honest, I don’t listen to the commentating.
Sevan Matossian (01:39):
Oh, okay. Um, I heard that if you, if the media was told to take off no rep shirts in the Coliseum, wow. That Hiller was told to take pat turn’s shirt inside out, or else he wouldn’t be let into the media pit at the cos. No way.
Taylor Self (01:56):
Really? No.
Sevan Matossian (01:56):
Mm-hmm,
Taylor Self (01:57):
<affirmative> why,
Sevan Matossian (01:59):
Because, um, CrossFit has sold its soul to, uh, noble. Um, they, they take orders from noble is, is what I’m guessing. So there’s that
Taylor Self (02:15):
That’s unfortunate. That’s that’s just
Sevan Matossian (02:19):
Censorship inclusive.
Taylor Self (02:20):
I hate censorship
Sevan Matossian (02:21):
Inclusive sent Hiller, multiple videos of female athletes, not meeting death depth standards on the handstand pushups. Alexis raps is super disappointed.
Taylor Self (02:29):
We’re not fully, uh, we have not fully confirmed what the official standards are, but what we’re hearing is that men had to pass the top of the head below the bottom of the white line. They had to break the bottom of the white line and women just had to break the top of the white line. Um, so we’re not sure if it’s the top of the white line. Then I think a lot of the reps were a whole lot closer than initially thought, but there for sure were some females who, who didn’t even look like they were getting close to the top of the line.
Sevan Matossian (02:59):
I almost lost my job when, uh, he margin were doing that Danny bro flex thing. And I was, uh, head of CrossFit media. I was told, given direct orders not to do that. And I ignored those direct orders and I had it happen. I used to follow Dan Bailey around like crazy when I had a camera and I would do the behind the scenes when he needed a place to stay. I let him stay in an extra bedroom at a beach house for three months, free of charge where my, where my wife and my kids lived. I could go on and on for what I fucking did for the fucking guy. No one knows me anything, but I made the assumption that we were friends and we were close when the company was sold. When Eric Rosa bought the company, um, I had multiple people tell me, and, and a lot of you, people, you motherfuckers, who’ve been on the show too.
Sevan Matossian (03:53):
You motherfuckers have been on the show too. Some of you’ve been on the show. You didn’t do it quite as bad as Dan that Dan several times sold me out behind my back, told people high up that I was a fucking problem and that they should fire me. Hey dude, I, I wish you would’ve told me to my fucking face or never stayed at my fucking house or I would’ve never introduced you to my mom or my fucking kids or my wife. I would’ve never made any of those videos about you. I wish you wouldn’t have been such a bitch. So now when I see you, I just think you’re a fucking bitch. And uh, I, I don’t think you are. I know you are.
Sevan Matossian (04:27):
And so, uh, you, you’re a sellout, you’re a woke tool. You play both sides. You act like a fucking Christian. You’re a fucking devil as far as I’m concerned. And I don’t use that word. I don’t use that word. Okay. Little house cleaning. Uh, it disappoints me. It is, um, if they are, if they are paying for the event and they don’t want people and they’re wearing certain shirts, I mean, fuck, they’re paying for the event. It just bums me out. But, but either way, cuz it cuz it’s um, but censorship. Yeah. Um, Gerard, uh, showed no urgency in that work. Oh, oh. So, oh, I’m gonna talk about, uh, LA GI. So LA ju got into it, I guess so heated with his ref that Jason McDonald was called over to speak to him. Jason McDonald’s the former, uh, UFC fighter, um, who, uh, what was the event that happened in Delmar where the guy said he was gonna kill the ref?
Sevan Matossian (05:22):
What was that guy’s name again? Ryan? Uh, Mr. Fisher. Yeah. Mr. Ryan Fisher. Same thing when he threatened to kill the, uh, the ref, uh, Jason McDonald was sent in to kind of like be there. And so whatever, whatever Lizar said, um, scared the ref enough that they called Jason McDonald over that being said, I have multiple sources that said LAER was going, uh, below, uh, the distance that he was supposed to. And he got no rep like seven times. And then also I guess the same thing, what happened with Jacqueline Dahlstrom she had the same ref, I don’t know who it is, but Jacqueline Dahlstrom stopped. I hear and went over to, uh, Jason McDonald and said will come over. So <laugh> so I want a second. I want a second judge. So, so some something there got, uh, pretty intense I from, uh, Nicky brazer and, uh, did a demo with, um, one of the demo ladies.
Sevan Matossian (06:11):
Uh, I’m trying to remember who it was. I can’t remember, but they showed the demo and they said that the women have to break the line and the men have to go through the line. Whatever that means, I guess there was a white line down there. I, I honestly wasn’t paying attention too closely. Uh I’d like to also say this before I forget, uh, when we asked, uh, who was gonna win this event, um, uh, Taylor said, uh, self called it, I believe will mod won this event. And, uh, Taylor had called that a couple days ago on the show. Good job, dude.
Taylor Self (06:44):
I don’t, I don’t think I did. Don’t gimme that credit
Sevan Matossian (06:47):
<laugh> seriously. Yeah.
Taylor Self (06:48):
I didn’t say will to. I told, uh, I don’t know if anyone said will mod. It was Jr. And I
Sevan Matossian (06:53):
Don’t think, did you say Jr?
JR Howell (06:55):
I did
Sevan Matossian (06:55):
Not. No, you, I brought up will mod. I said, will he win any of the events? Do you remember that?
Taylor Self (07:01):
I talked about him doing well on this, this event was we didn’t talk about will more ad since this event had been announced.
Sevan Matossian (07:11):
Okay. I, I strike that from the comments then, uh, those of you who gave me that Intel fuck off, maybe
Taylor Self (07:16):
We did. I don’t know.
Sevan Matossian (07:17):
Um,
JR Howell (07:19):
In all the, I thought
Sevan Matossian (07:20):
Danny Fe did incredible
JR Howell (07:21):
Ass off
Sevan Matossian (07:22):
On say
JR Howell (07:22):
That again and all, although Jason has been working his ass off on all kinds of pressing bench, press strict, press Z, press handstand, pushup, Def say handstand, pushup. I would not have thought he would’ve gotten second. It was very impressive. He
Taylor Self (07:37):
Did very well. Yep. Yep.
Andrew Hiller (07:38):
It looked like to me, your top five, what was that? What happened? I said you don’t have to whisper. He’s actually. Oh yeah. Shout. Oh, you’re live on Savan did you know? I’m actually trying to put this like right in your face. So they hear you a little bit bad then. Oh shoot. Yeah. I’m not just recording you. Oh no, you’re good. No, there you’re. Hey, I
Speaker 6 (07:54):
Liked it cuz I did decent
Andrew Hiller (07:55):
At it. Yeah. Do you know your official policing by chance? I know. Okay. I
Speaker 6 (07:59):
Just know I beat certain people
Andrew Hiller (08:00):
And outside. Have you heard any whisperings around? Cause all I’m seeing are this Anthony didn’t get this first. And I, from what I was standing is like, you can’t tell it in stands and I’ve had some things sent me from the live stream, but you don’t hear any whisperings yourself, do you? No. If
Speaker 6 (08:12):
They were in my heat, I didn’t
Andrew Hiller (08:13):
Even see ’em. Yeah, of course. You’re too busy doing your thing exactly. Before or after around. I don’t know what’s going on back there. Remember? I’m the washed up regional Anthony. You’re the one who knows everything. That’s going on back. There’s lot more followers than me though. Well, we’ll send, I’ll send them your way. <laugh> everyone go follow or I’ll kill you. That’s what I’m here for. I’ll kill you. You’re here to pick up followers. No, no
Sevan Matossian (08:32):
Way. No. She’s here to, she wants signage. She wants, she wants signage.
Andrew Hiller (08:35):
Seven goes, she wants signage. You want another sign? Right? I you’re on the sign for, at this point.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
We need to hang up the signs from LA year. We’re finishing our house right
Andrew Hiller (08:44):
Now. I saw like a video and I’m like, that looks awesome. Good work. It looks sweet. You built it, built it, designed it designed or built or both. That’s awesome. Very. I found out
Speaker 6 (08:55):
Two things in the house. That’s the two things we don’t like. So I’ve just learned to like
Andrew Hiller (09:00):
No way. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
So I was like,
Andrew Hiller (09:01):
Whatever you wanna do, it’s typically the other way around. Usually it’s like the wife in the family doing all the good
Speaker 7 (09:08):
From a man and I got the, of
Andrew Hiller (09:11):
A woman. Yeah, you own that shit. I
Sevan Matossian (09:14):
Ariel lo is currently in seventh place with 566 points. She’s uh, Danielle, Brandon’s doing better than her and Alexis rap is doing worse than her. And she’s gone Hiller, Ken Hiller that he had to. Can you confirm that you had to turn your shirt inside out?
Andrew Hiller (09:35):
Yeah, it is. I did have to turn my shirt inside. One second. Seon. We have, we have something we gotta tell you. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
Seon. I found out why you like Colton Mertons and it’s because he’s the only athlete you’re taller than. Oh,
Andrew Hiller (09:47):
You hear that? Seon
Sevan Matossian (09:48):
It’s truth. It’s truth. It’s written on my tombstone.
Andrew Hiller (09:50):
He said it’s the truth. And it’s written on his tombstone.
Sevan Matossian (09:53):
<laugh> Hey, uh, I’m gonna have a shirt I’m taller than Colton
Andrew Hiller (10:01):
Seven, seven. What was the question?
Sevan Matossian (10:04):
I don’t
Andrew Hiller (10:04):
Remember. Uh, yes. I can’t confirm that I had to turn my shirt inside out.
Sevan Matossian (10:07):
Oh and, and did they tell you why?
Andrew Hiller (10:11):
Uh, they said that it came from somewhere up top and that I wasn’t allowed to be bad there if I was wearing this shirt and I wasn’t the only one I’ve had three others telling me something similar where they either had to change or they had to turn it inside out. They’d come up to me with their shirts, chain it inside out. So can confirm
Taylor Self (10:27):
What a big Dick move. Fuck them.
Sevan Matossian (10:30):
<laugh> it is a big
Andrew Hiller (10:33):
Taylor has spoken,
Sevan Matossian (10:35):
Hey, in the end, it just, it just hurts their sales. That’s that’s the thing in the end, it just hurts their sales, but at least they get to keep their ego intact. Um, we know that the, the swim event was announced. That’s pretty awesome. Um, work out. I thought Spiegel did incredible, but we have some video of her and some people are really concerned about her death, but, uh, man, what a fucking amazing amount of work you put in and, and if, and if she wasn’t getting low enough, it’s not her fault. Right. I mean, at the end of the day, it’s not her fault. Is it jar?
JR Howell (11:06):
I mean, she’s not looking at that line. She’s gonna go down until the judge says the number and then she’s gonna press up.
Taylor Self (11:12):
It’s just, it just is indicative of someone who’s always just trying to do just enough.
Sevan Matossian (11:19):
I hear you. I hear you one like once again, she’s at the center of some sort of controversy.
Taylor Self (11:23):
Yeah. Yeah.
Sevan Matossian (11:26):
Uh, I also heard, I don’t know what it was, but I heard that mayhem destroyed the pack. And in the interview, uh, Mr. Phoning said something that could be perceived as snarky. I, I wish I could remember what it was. It was very, very, uh, someone sent it to me. That’s saying that he was sending a message. Uh, do you guys remember what do you guys know what he said? Did interview listen to his interview?
JR Howell (11:46):
I didn’t hear it.
Sevan Matossian (11:47):
Snarky, snarky slash Fu slash funny. I can’t remember what it was, but hopefully it’ll pop up or it’ll come back to me. Thanks for the content from Australia. Why Ricky suck in this event? I, I guess everyone’s got a hole shoulders.
Taylor Self (12:03):
He said they, they said they were worried about the jerk event. It turned out. He didn’t need to worry about that, but you would imagine he was worried about that because of his shoulders. Um, and I think today’s handstand, pushups were probably as dependent on shoulder endurance and shoulder strength, as you could get in handstand pushup, it’s all dealt while facing.
JR Howell (12:23):
That’s not the last we’ll see of a like shoulder and sense of workout for sure. It’s not, I mean, we still got the whole weekend. There’s gonna be some kind of overhead lunch. There’s gonna be some kind of overhead squat. There’s gonna be something more with pressing overhead or overhead stability for sure.
Sevan Matossian (12:40):
Okay. There, and there’s a SN he said something about finally doing a workout with CrossFit in it. Okay. And, and there, that, that sentiment is, uh, rumbling, uh, through some of the athletes. I mean, I, to tell you the truth, I I’ve heard that before. I remember, especially during the year when there was the L sit and the softball throw, uh, TA uh, Taylor, do you wanna say something about that? There was a comment that we were passing around in our thread that one of the mayhem team members did have up.
Taylor Self (13:06):
Um, like, can we pull this story up? Will, do you have that? Yeah. Oh my gosh.
Sevan Matossian (13:11):
So this guy, Seth Stal, he’s on the, um, CrossFit mayhem justice team. He said me wondering when CrossFit games is gonna program a CrossFit workout, or what are your thoughts? Taylor?
Taylor Self (13:21):
I think one, it is the CrossFit games, but they’re titling the champion, the fittest on earth, not the CrossFit on earth. So if you can’t complete the events and you’re not doing well, you’re not the fittest on earth. I also think if
Sevan Matossian (13:35):
You’re, what is that distinction you just said, isn’t CrossFit. The definition of fitness. Isn’t that? Isn’t
Taylor Self (13:40):
It is. And I think the distinction he’s making is if it’s not a Metcon with thrusters and pullups, it’s not CrossFit. So give us the thrusters and pull ups and we’ll be happy. But if you make us bike and run and do some max strength, then it’s not CrossFit. But the reality is everything is CrossFit. And the methodology, all functional movement executed a high intensity is CrossFit. So he either one doesn’t know the methodology, in which case just shut up or two, you come to the CrossFit games to compete, not complain. So if you’re not doing well, get better at those things.
Sevan Matossian (14:11):
Uh, what, what do you think, uh, Jr.
JR Howell (14:14):
If you think back to something, Dave always said he wasn’t worried about showcasing the athletes of the games. He was worried. He was more concerned with testing them. So when you get to the games, you’ve already been through the open quarter finals semifinals, everyone is really, really, really, really good. Who’s there at classic CrossFit. So if you’re gonna do classic CrossFit the whole time, it doesn’t give too much of a point of comparison. There’ll be some more stuff mixed in. I mean, a lot of people would argue that the pig flip ring muscle up Syncro workout wasn’t even classic CrossFit, but
Andrew Hiller (14:45):
A lot of people Connell you’re live on the Sev on podcast. How are you object? That was good. Right? You liked everything about that. The handstand pushup standard, the event,
Speaker 6 (14:53):
I didn’t like judging
Andrew Hiller (14:54):
Across you. Didn’t that is when I asked another athlete just now, what do you gotta say about that? I was curious.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
I don’t, I think that, I think I didn’t, I mean,
Sevan Matossian (15:05):
What was the
Andrew Hiller (15:05):
Standard as vague? What was the standard
Speaker 6 (15:08):
Standard for women was the head needed to cross or touch the white line and the dip. And I think that that wasn’t necessarily happening
Andrew Hiller (15:15):
At court. Okay. Yeah. Cause I’ve seen things. People sent me from the stands, I’ve seen the streams and of course I was trying to see it in person and it all looked a little different everywhere. Uh, and of course, I don’t wanna ask you why anyone particular, but you are seeing things. Was it like huge previous or while you were going or just trying not to
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Pay attention?
Andrew Hiller (15:30):
Do it because good.
Speaker 6 (15:31):
I got some, no, from my first
Andrew Hiller (15:32):
Sec, well was for not getting low enough. Yeah. I
Speaker 6 (15:35):
Was kinda looking around and just trying to see like whatever I was doing, which I shouldn’t be doing on the floor, but I did anyway. Um, and so then it’s just like, okay, well I’m, I have to figure out how to meet the standard. So not paying attention.
Andrew Hiller (15:45):
All yeah. Do is what you gotta do. Yeah. I heard about Elaine in particular. Did you hear the same thing? I think it was lane number one. Some athletes were getting some where they weren’t getting other reputation somewhere deeper than others. Some weren’t getting deep at all. Yeah. Yeah. You were hearing similar things. What was,
Speaker 6 (15:59):
Yeah. What was the men’s standard affect a couple girls. Me and I feel like it’s just gonna be hit this kinda judging to, and that’s not a fun feeling going up to the
Andrew Hiller (16:06):
Floor. No males and females have the same standard though. Right?
Speaker 6 (16:10):
No males standard was, there was a white line. Males had to clear the bottom of the white line. Females just touch
Andrew Hiller (16:15):
The top. Oh cool. I don’t think did anybody know that? I didn’t know that. I mean, I looked at the males were going deeper for sure. The thing I was noticing was the angle of the elbow on the females. It looked like they weren’t getting low at all. Well, you did awesome. I,
Speaker 6 (16:32):
I appreciate that.
Andrew Hiller (16:33):
I try to make my I’m sitting in the stands and I always do this thing or I’m like, I think she’ll do well. He’ll do well. Or whomever will do well. And then I also like, this person will do terrible. And then I was like, I think Chris’ gonna crush this one. Had a feeling.
Speaker 6 (16:45):
I would, I was happy with the, I feel like
Andrew Hiller (16:47):
She’s in the, up on the it’s awesome.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
Like,
Andrew Hiller (16:53):
No, not, not this time. Not this time. Echo bike. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
It’s been cool. It’s been really different fun. So,
Andrew Hiller (16:58):
I mean, it’s been everything right? The whole, the whole spiel. I mean, they’ll work out the programming by Boz. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
It’s been a
Andrew Hiller (17:03):
Challenge. Are you expecting it to change up or it’s gonna kind of be all wonky the rest of the weekend. I feel
Speaker 6 (17:08):
Like we’ve done so much. I have no idea. I’m like what’s
Andrew Hiller (17:09):
Left. It’s cool. Right? Yeah. I mean they use, keep on doing handstands, right? You’ve got to press the handstand. You got the handstands. No more handstands. Some squats. You we’ll do some squats and wall balls, maybe 40 pound wall balls, 30 for the females. You remember those giant list? Balls down. I’m just talking. I appreciate you talking. Thanks guys. Thanks guys.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
Working.
Sevan Matossian (17:35):
So we’re so we’re one for one on a frustrated athlete. So do you remember where you were Jr. We were talking about, um, athletes coming there. Um, who, who think that maybe they haven’t done any CrossFit yet? It’s
JR Howell (17:49):
One, it’s a lot easier to be frustrated if you’re not as high on the leaderboard as you want to be, you’re always gonna look for things to, to, to back up your frustrations. But then outside of that, you go to the games and you have this idea in your head about what the events are gonna be and how you’re gonna perform well at them. And then when you don’t get those events, it makes you wanna complain about it. I have a question for Taylor.
Taylor Self (18:12):
Yep.
JR Howell (18:14):
Do you think that block was added so that there would be a deficit to where your head had to go below your hands? Like do you think wall facing just to a dollar or would’ve just been too easy.
Taylor Self (18:26):
I think they added the block to aid in some balance. Um, and to make it a little bit more difficult, I think they want a little difficulty, but I also think being able to hold on the edge of that block and be away and kind of press at an angle.
Andrew Hiller (18:44):
All right, guys, I got the demo team. I got the demo team. Don’t tell us the workouts. How you guys feeling streets be what? What’s the workout for tomorrow? That’s street and I only one street talk. We’re gonna swim tomorrow. How did you figure that out? I, I feel like I’ve heard that a couple other places. Yeah. How you guys feeling really good. Yeah. Yeah. We had a couple. Good to see you back, James. Yeah. So I feel beat down the, how do you go about, I mean, you got more males than females now? No. Yes. Main
Speaker 6 (19:12):
Street equal half. So we’re still three guys in three
Andrew Hiller (19:15):
We’re both a half. Uh, guys, do you have any questions for the demo team seven
Taylor Self (19:19):
Saying, ask James, how many calories you got on the swim workout?
Andrew Hiller (19:22):
James, how many calories do you have swim. Workout. I think we should have streets. Streets, the swimmer. No. Talk about they can’t ask. They can’t talk about the workouts. Anything else? Ask
Taylor Self (19:30):
James, if you in the swim workout,
Andrew Hiller (19:32):
I can’t talk to you about the workouts. Stop. Talk about they’ve already done workouts that they’ve already done. The handstand pushup standard. Yes. Uh, the female standard was get the head into the line. The male standard was get the head below the line. We figured that out. And I’ve heard rumblings about some athletes being frustrated, look up and down the lines and hearing about previous. Have you heard any of that from your end? I heard. And when you were testing it, what was it like for you guys?
Speaker 6 (19:53):
I heard Tim grumblings,
Andrew Hiller (19:54):
Um, actually closer to you.
Speaker 6 (19:56):
I think that’s always gonna happen in a new movement. You know, the athletes aren’t unfamiliar with how to do it
Andrew Hiller (20:00):
Properly. Extremely fair statement. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:02):
Yeah. Um, but I think, you know, doing, and to be fair, like doing it, you can’t really see. So like when, when I was doing it, but the first couple you’re like not quite low enough, but then I was able to figure out, like to still eyebrows to the corner of the thing and press out.
Andrew Hiller (20:16):
And so how did you figure that out eyebrows to the corner of the thing then?
Speaker 6 (20:19):
Like when I would do that, I would get a good rep.
Andrew Hiller (20:21):
That’s interesting.
Speaker 6 (20:21):
If I would go less than that,
Andrew Hiller (20:23):
Then I would. And if you’re like me just raise your eyebrows really high.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
Yeah. The big thing that probably a lot of, I wasn’t really able to watch super closely, but if you like go like this with your neck, your head’s a lot shorter. So like you might be reaching full
Andrew Hiller (20:34):
Depth. Interesting. Because we were watching, I think I was watching Laura and she was really looking up and she was getting called quite a bit.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
So then I would go like down and then kind of go up with, with the neck after reaching death. So just figuring out those little things and that takes time.
Andrew Hiller (20:47):
And so Alice you’re the captain, right? I am. Yeah. Cool. Well, is that why you have a different color? Oh no. The female have the black shirts and the guys have these camo shirts. I do have. How did oh, cause it’s smaller. Well that’s cuz you were an add-on and they screen printed that shirt for you, but they didn’t screen print shirt for anybody else. Street horn, special street street horns in the van
Sevan Matossian (21:07):
Ask Griffith Raleigh. If he’s gonna try to go to the games again,
Andrew Hiller (21:09):
Next year I had, I had to say, I’m sorry about that video, but have you had any backlash about the hips coming off the bench from me? No, not at all. I mean, I guarantee you weren’t the only one, but nothing. Nothing happened. Nothing personal somebody. They came off to me. They’re like, do you remember that video? You put and I’m like, oh fuck. It’s just cause it’s dripping any stronger shit. And everyone wants, so what are you talking about between? Did you see that was that funny? I wouldn’t blame you. You didn’t watch the video at all, but the cartoon. It’s all
Taylor Self (21:41):
I have a question for. I got a question for street or
Andrew Hiller (21:50):
What is it? Taylor, look at this.
Taylor Self (21:51):
Who wins? Who wins in a fist fight?
Andrew Hiller (21:53):

Taylor Self (21:54):

Sevan Matossian (21:56):

Taylor Self (22:01):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Who wins in a fist fight? Ricky ARD or Justin Maderas
Andrew Hiller (22:07):
Ricky or Justin in a fist fight who wins?
Taylor Self (22:10):
Oh,
Andrew Hiller (22:12):
We got one Ricky in. Yeah. So I’ve seen Ricky and his knuckles just look really big. So I think, think Ricky too.
Taylor Self (22:19):
I feel like. And then your hand on his head,
Andrew Hiller (22:22):

Sevan Matossian (23:17):
<laugh> <laugh>
Taylor Self (23:19):
I like street. I like street and
Andrew Hiller (23:20):
It’s all
Taylor Self (23:22):
Workouts is getting pissed, Adam. Right?
Andrew Hiller (23:24):
Now’s like you can’t say that.
Sevan Matossian (23:26):
Tell them you let them go.
Andrew Hiller (23:29):
Allon says let you guys go. Thank you so much guys. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Sevan Matossian (23:33):
I tell you guys a story here real quick about that restaurant called short stack, buy high FEAS. What’s up Giff Raleigh,
Andrew Hiller (23:39):
Right?
Sevan Matossian (23:41):
That restaurant. Um,
Speaker 8 (23:44):
I, I couldn’t make it to the
Andrew Hiller (23:46):
Meal. Well, I think you were busy, right? Yes. You were very,
Sevan Matossian (23:50):
I’m gonna talk that, that, um, that restaurant that they went to short stack, I believe it’s owned by two, two women. I think their, their girlfriend and girlfriend, or maybe they’re even a married couple and uh, lesbian women. And, uh, Greg would go to that restaurant every morning for breakfast. And I can’t remember what happened, but basically they were struggling. Their landlord was doing something to ’em and I’m pretty sure Greg just fucking right there. Had the CFO cut them a check for like $20,000. Right. Fucking there to keep their business open when we were there for the CrossFit games. If, if I’m pretty sure it’s the exact it’s it’s the same restaurant. Yeah, it was fucking cool as shit. And that’s the kind of man he was by the way he did the right thing for the right people for the right reasons. Okay. Well, Heidi, I know you’re just sitting in your car, there. Anything you wanna report from the day? What did you see? Uh, who did you like? Um, did you, was it fun working for the Seon podcast? Uh, were they nice to you? Did you have to turn your shirt inside out anything? Good.
Heidi (24:46):
I did not have to turn my shirt inside out. I got a lot of compliments on it though. Um, I think that last event was super exciting. Everybody in the stands loved it. They were going nuts. Like even for the first heats, it was just really cool to see people going Savage on the bikes. Um, I think it was really interesting to see so many of the no reps. And I think for the women too, like just seeing, it was a little sketch with their hair, like the buns, they, it, depending how they had their buns on their head, it looked like they’re going past the line, but really it’s just their hair. Um, I think a lot of people were talking about how Tia Tomi just looked like the champ in that one, she looked amazing. Like her body was stick straight the whole time. So that was pretty cool to see. Um, but yeah, just the athletes on the struggle bus who just couldn’t do it like Laura and the other ones that just was bad.
Sevan Matossian (25:41):
Who struggled the most? Who were you out there where it was like almost uncomfortable was, was did Ricky was pretty bad too, right? Like that was like hard to watch. Like you could feel bad for him.
Heidi (25:49):
Yeah. I think Ricky, um, I actually heard a couple people bullying for Ricky when they first announced him coming out this time, which I was like, dang,
Sevan Matossian (25:59):
No shit.
Heidi (26:00):
Yeah. I was like, okay. Savage, but whatever.
Sevan Matossian (26:03):
Yeah. I’ve never, you know, the comments are pretty mean towards him too. Yeah. On the side.
Heidi (26:09):
Yeah.
Sevan Matossian (26:10):
I, I like him. I hope I fuck. I’d be, I’d be very, I’d be ecstatic if he won.
Heidi (26:14):
I think most people are cheering, but it’s like couple loud. Booers, you know, couple grumpy people. But what are you gonna do?
Sevan Matossian (26:21):
Uh, how about pat? How about pat? Vener do you gotta, do you get a vibe from him looking at him? Does he seem focused? Does he seem like he’s still in it to win it?
Heidi (26:28):
Gosh, I don’t know. He doesn’t give off a vibe that he’s really gonna win. For sure. I don’t know. He seems kind of like maybe it’s his last year and he is just tired of me. I don’t know. I’m just making shit up, but I feel like being a dad and all that wears on you, whether you wanna admit it or not having a baby is tough.
Sevan Matossian (26:50):
Right. All right. Well
Heidi (26:54):
Drop two.
Sevan Matossian (26:55):
Uh, are, are you home?
Heidi (26:57):
I just got home.
Sevan Matossian (26:58):
Oh, well thank you very much for everything today. We’ll we see you tomorrow.
Heidi (27:01):
Yes.
Sevan Matossian (27:02):
Awesome. You’re the best. Thank you so much. Thanks guys. Bye. Heidi crew from the six fake Seon podcast. I’d like to do you wanna look?
Taylor Self (27:13):
I’d like to get Hiller’s input on some of the finishes, but we can pull up the leader board while we wait for him to finish.
Sevan Matossian (27:18):
Or do, do you wanna look at those videos too?
Taylor Self (27:20):
Yeah. Let’s pull up the Danny speaker videos.
Sevan Matossian (27:22):
Yeah. Let’s
Taylor Self (27:23):
Look at those. This is right. Hiller’s gonna make a video about this. We already know it. Um, so we’ll just beat into the punch.
Sevan Matossian (27:29):
Okay, good. Let’s see if we can get those
Taylor Self (27:34):
End and a to preface this. She wasn’t the only one. And there were a lot of athletes struggling with the movement. Um, but this was just what was sent to us by others. So we
Sevan Matossian (27:44):
Have, uh, okay. So before we go, what? I don’t see a white line on that.
Taylor Self (27:48):
The white line
Sevan Matossian (27:49):
Look at this. Oh, there is. There you go. Oh, okay. Mm-hmm
Taylor Self (27:51):
<affirmative> and her hair is flirting with it. Dangerously.
Andrew Hiller (27:56):
Yeah. I saw this guys. It’s hard. It’s so fucking hard to see, you know what I was saying? If I were a female a but you just let
Sevan Matossian (28:04):
Your head out. Oh, like that Def
Andrew Hiller (28:06):
Light the world on fire.
Sevan Matossian (28:07):
Yeah. That like, that definitely wasn’t low enough, but, but how do we even know she’s getting reps for those? We can’t even see the judges, the
Taylor Self (28:13):
Judges, she didn’t get a single, no rep. Almost the entire event.
Sevan Matossian (28:16):
Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah.
Mattew Souza (28:21):
Hey, so, um, my connection didn’t work at all, but I ran into, uh, Hailey Adams and I was talking to her about this and apparently the way that it was briefed is it was to the line. But then there was in particular inconsistency with judging, which I’m sure you guys had already, uh, talked about. But, um, and there was one particular lane that apparently got the, um, the worst end of the stick there. Yeah. So they were talking about how, when it was demoed, everything seemed good. And then once they got onto the floor, it was, seemed to be really inconsistent. Do
Taylor Self (28:48):
We, do we know if Laura’s lane was that lane?
Mattew Souza (28:51):
Yeah, that was that one. Uh, not the lane, but I guess the, the judge that switched through that was like, was ours Laura’s Amanda Barnharts. Um, it was Laura’s pretty much every, yeah, pretty much everybody had like a, a tough time with it. That
Sevan Matossian (29:04):
Was Jacqueline Olstrom also. Right. I heard Jacqueline DOLs had the same judge as LAER and GI.
Mattew Souza (29:08):
Yeah. I, you know, I’m assuming so, but they had, they were that’s what they were saying was that some of the judges were basically, if your forehead barely tapped the line and came up, they were calling it good. That’s why some of the athletes were able to just smash through ’em and then some of the other ones who particularly would’ve been stronger overhead, or could’ve been a better movement from really struggled with it because they were having to really hold down there and wait for Haley was saying she was holding and waiting for the judge basically to say, press back up. And by the time that that was clear for her to press back up, it was just blowing out her, uh, shoulders. So
Taylor Self (29:40):
Of the what’s ahead. I was gonna say one of <laugh>, one of the commentators made a statement about where Laura looks to improve her capacity or looks for potential in her handstand push up. And I was curious what some of you guys thought Hiller SU.
